ZB1 possible renewal of 5 members; IST debuting group with B2P members??? (Patreon)

What is going onnnn

This is what I was afraid of for ZB1. It’s been clear Yuehua wants their trainees back so it has been inevitable that a 9 member renewal is not gonna happen. But 5 members doesn’t feel right especially if they were to keep the name. I would be so sad seeing the boys separated in this way 😔 May hurt less if they redebut under a new name but still 😢 What are the odds of this actually happening? What’re your thoughts?

For IST- it’s gonna be called TUNEXX with Donggyu, Arctic, Inhu (omg??) and Siwhan along with 3 more boys. I would’ve been fine with this lineup if we’re not getting the derivative group but apparently Siwhan has allegations? I haven’t heard of this even in B2P. Damnnn. But then again I had no time to look on twt. Have those been confirmed or proven false??

Also goshhh- nasty work for IST to disband ATBO just to debut another group. Seems like they only have funding for one group and they probably want to ride the post-B2P high more.

IST from what I know and have heard only has one solo artist under them Bahiyyiah but they had no plans for her so they let her extend her contract with Kepler. They disbanded ATBO and JustB group way to soon I think if they focused on them and their one solo artist they would not be in this weird situation. Plus if they focused on The Boyz as well.

This is just such a weird situation for ZB1. Literally a recipe for awkwardness. I'm already imagining what it would be like for them during music festival events. EDIT: Forgot to mention but did you see the news about NCT Jisung starring in a Hulu/Disney+ drama? I think its called Crash

Here is a long explanation about the Sihwan stuff. First, the undeniable stuff: There are videos of him being super obnoxious (dancing sort of ridiculously in a skirt as a teen boy, playfully humping the ground, flipping off the camera and just being a super annoying middle/high school boy) and it's very clear he had plastic surgery so people have sort of locked in on that and made fun of him for that in combination with his immature behavior. Additionally, on top of his immaturity, some of his behavior after he got eliminated seems like he was trying to harm Donggyu's change of debuting or like Sihwan was trying to clout chase. He and other IST trainees visited a fan cafe while Boys II Planet was still airing (with Donggyu being the last surviving IST trainee on the show) and Sihwan said something akin to he was waiting for Donggyu to join him back at the company, this pissed off a lot of Donggyu fans because it felt like he was saying people should no longer vote for Donggyu so he'd go back to IST and that Sihwan didn't expect Donggyu to win. Now about the accusations. He's been accused of bullying, sexual harassment, inappropriate behavior, underage drinking, and that he was forced to transfer schools after getting in trouble. IST released a statement basically saying he wasn't forced to transfer but transferred voluntary because he has trouble seeing color (so nothing related to being forced to transfer for disciplinary action) and that Sihwan is reflecting on his immature behavior, here's an English translation of the statement -> https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/1n8t1g8/ist_entertainment_have_released_an_official/. On one hand, every accusation was made online on anonymous accounts and some had the videos of Sihwan being obnoxious but nothing that showed what he was explicitly being accused of (like bullying). On another hand, the statement IST released didn't address or deny all of the accusations being made (which is weird, why WOULDN'T you straight up say he never sexually harassed someone?). Allegations like these are so hard to handle because we've seen before over and over people's careers suffer or end because of wrong accusations in Kpop, but the lack of formal response is super upsetting. In my mind, I feel like him being in the debut line-up is going to harm the entire group, at least until there's definitive proof that he didn't do something or that he and his company started suing the people who accused him (which would show they believe his innocence so strongly that they are willing to legally protect him). The company made a generic statement about taking civic or criminal action against false information and defamation, but there hasn't been any announcement of that occurring yet and they never explicitly addressed what is false information except him transferring schools for disciplinary reasons. His reputation is like 90% negative to Korean netizens, there are multiple hit tweets still occurring to this day (and this started before the show even aired) of people disliking him on korean twitter, and in general even other IST trainee fans dislike him. He's going to for sure drag down the group when they debut. This, paired up with IST having a HORRIBLE reputation (even amongst the korean general public the company has a reputation of treating their artists horribly - people know IST as the company that harmed The Boyz's fame), spells disaster. It's just a bad situation to be in. Nothing looks good which sucks because it's harming all the other trainees' chance of making it big. I've already seen major Donggyu fan accounts close because of this.

thanks for all this info! it sucks IST isn’t listening. this sounds like a disaster and yes i agree it’s very unfortunate for the other trainees. the other guys have so much potential 😩 if this pushes through and nothing is clarified about siwhan, the group might disband earlier like atbo and then hopefully the other boys will be free. just the unfortunate side would be fans have moved on from then.

Evnne has already made the official announcement that their two YH members are leaving and returning to their agency and that Evnne will now be a 5 member group. I’m guessing that those two will join the 4 from Zb1 to form a new group. No idea what will happen with the remaining 5 from ZB1 but I hope they stay together.

I feel like after what happened with kep1er, (where mashiro and yeseo left the group to debut in madein) there is a high chance that zb1 will continue as 5. I just hate that yuehua actually thinks that taking Hao, Ricky, yujin, and gyuvin away will be a good idea... For the sihwan thing, he has had the allegations around the beginning of boys 2 planet from what I remember. And ist never really says that he didn't do it, which is what most people would do if it wasn't true I think, so It's unfortunate. Especially since most people I see online where looking forward for donggyu and artic to debut together, but they were hoping that sihwan wouldn't also debut with them since he might bring a bad image to the group

omg rightttt with kep1er. dayum I was more prepared with them disbanding than this. and ya I hate these half ass statements where they aren't clear with things so it just makes them look guilty af. it's way too open for interpretation. I don't get this way of thinking. im one of those that would love to see donggyu and arctic and now inhu too but siwhan's situation needs to be cleared up.
