Nicholas has been missing out other stops of SMTOWN and fans has been quite frustrated since SM has been silent about it. His conversation with Songha kinda confirmed that he chose to be an actor and wrapping it up by participating their fancon tour. SMRookies(SM's officially introduced trainees) doesnt really guarantee that they will debut like what happened to Disney Korea Mickey Mouse club, smrookies participated on the entire show which mostly NCT DREAM members however none of the girl trainees end up debuting. SM C&C- is SM's subsidiary for content production which also houses their actors, actresses and entertainers. A few trainees who pursuit another career are signed to this label , an example of would be Shohei, he was a in pre debut NCT with Shotaro,Sungchan and Seunghan.

I don’t think SM will debut all of them (JUST MY OPINION). I really hope they do, but WE NEVER KNOW yet😭 SMTR25 (25 for 2025) is similar to SR15B (SM Rookies (Trainee) 2015 Boys) and SR14G (SM Rookies 2014 Girls, now Red Velvet). Back then, SM also introduced a bunch of trainees, but not all of them debuted. Hansol, who was introduced as part of SR15B (with NCT members), never debuted. He appeared in a lot of videos and shows, and even took part in several fanmeetings with the other NCT members, who were also trainees at that time. There was also TV program with SM female trainees (along with 5 members NCT Dream when they were still trainees + senior artists as guests), and none of those girls ended up debut either…

And with SM, I’ve heard that if trainees don’t make it into the debut lineup, they’re usually given other options. Like Lami, one of the female trainees from that TV show, she was moved to an SM subsidiary focused on acting. Same with Cho Jun-yeong (the trainee whose photo went viral as “Sungchan pre-debut"), he also debuted as an actor under SM subsidiary. Shohei was moved to a subsidiary too. So basically, if they don’t make it to lineup debut, they can either stay (as a trainee while waiting for the next lineup), move to SM subsidiary (even switch careers), or leave.

ahhh ok. ive only heard about hansol but I dont really remember the details. oh and I guess Shohei too but that was a different circumstance given the rearrangement of sungchan and eunseok into riize

oh sm c&c is an actual subsidiary?? LOL omg I thought it was just a title for their content like how it was with NCT Dance channel 😅

Nicholas has already fanbase (and still gaining fans with all the recent content on their socials) he has a potential and if he's good in acting I think it's is win-win situation for both sides - him and SM. I'm glad he took all the opportunities and they actually gave this platform to him. I also think they'll debut in September (like RIIZE) or maybe early October? We'll see.
