- The OST from intro is the OST KING Liu Yuning who’s is an absolute good actor as well. The prisoner of beauty is stared by him which probably one of the cdrama recs you were given. All of Luke’s outfit are his personal wardrobe. He’s fashion king. They use English name a lot in office culture to integrate more international culture along the reasoning of it’s easier to conduct conversation with internal people with English name. A lot of Chinese names are harder to pronounce. Also, the drama was set around 2012.

Me too! I am glad you went with this drama. I can't wait for you to react to future episodes. Anyone who watched this drama will agree that Luan Nian is great as long as he doesn't open his mouth lol. The drama is set in the early 2010s and expands until 2020s, so we will get to see their growth over 10 years. We will also eventually see their phones get upgraded as years went by. If you're curious about their age gap, Flora is 22 while Luke is 28 and we can kinda see how her being young and fresh out of college feels attracted to Luke who is older, more experienced, and at the top of his game. Fun fact, the actor (Jing Boran) is known for being a fashionista, and he actually styled himself in this drama. He also wore pieces from his personal collection and other pieces fresh from the runway. The suit he wore in episode 1, I believe is straight from last year's runway. I just don't remember from which fashion house. In the future episodes, you will see him dressed in Loro Piana, Channel, and other designer stuff. The female lead, Sun Qian, is also an ambassaor for Celine so we will see her wearing Celine in the future episodes.

goood choice!!!!! welcome back to Cdrama land! It's like watching filipino serye again hahaa. You will have a loooot to say to this one😍😍 I get why people are 5050. not your typical romance ML and FL. You'll probably be voicing out everything we've been thinking as you watch future episodes! I definitely have same feels about cdramas being more grounded and characters you can empathize with especially modern romance. They really take time building up hence the long episodes. I hate the kdramas are cut now to 10 episodes. expecting them to fall in love fast. or leaving it to our imagination. . I think that's why kdramas are diverting towards now but not much audience impact. I miss the old kdrama romcom though. but chinese dramas are in different wavelength! I got sucked in. also despite their strict sensorship, they are actually more "open" than kdramas. so you'll see more of it in cdramas! cough *speed and love* cant wait to rewatch this with you! enjoy!!!

Omg I’m so glad that you’re discovering more cdramas hahaha, I’ve been watching them for years and I just knew that you’d enjoy them too. Every cdrama that I’ve watched has beautiful cinematography, very different from kdramas. Also… after yeaaars I’m finally going next year! I’m so excited 😭😭
