Before I start, water and forehead kisses incoming!! "I don't know the math of hangovers" I'm sorry, but that one got a nice laugh out of me. But goodness, I can feel the pain of that hangover over here ;-; my body isn't being so nice to me today over yesterday's consumption on my end, so it looks like we're riding on the hangover train together 🤝 Your memories of your time in Spain unlocked an interesting memory in my brain. I remember when I was young, getting close to pre-teen age, I had a lot of family members working in various peach fields around the area. One of my tia's lived really close to one, with the owner of the land being more than happy in letting us take as many peaches as we wanted, free of charge. I remember always being given money to go to a local market when vising this tia, and my sister, cousins, and I would grab as many snacks as we could hold (and all with 5 bucks then, sheesh, good times). We'd then walk far into the fields and just get lost for a while. Nothing but our soiled feet and chanclas, our snacks, and our company. I remember the heat from the sun, the pungent smell of those fields, and our laughs echoing through the trees that would last until sundown, maybe more after. It was certainly a different time. Young Crunch deserves a warm hug. Present Crunch, too. For all the memories and to quiet that pesky hangover of yours (really wishing tomorrow's a better day for you in that regard!!) Many forehead kisses for you to help you peacefully rest with good dreams~ Sleep tight, meow meow 💙🌙

I don't drink, but atleast I've never had a hangover. There's a big 'culture' for it here but that's exactly why I don't lol. A family history of alcoholics and bad livers have scared me away completely. Poor Crunch tho, soft kisses for your forehead 😘 Young Crunch storytime kinda reminded me going to the smoke shop with my dad a lot. Me and my brother always got these little drinks in glass bottles called 'chocolate soldiers'? They were like older yoo-hoos. I don't think they really make them anymore but they were something to look forward to when running errands. Sleep well 💙

Sending all the cuddles and forehead kisses; more than welcome to come lie on top of me and fall asleep while I brush fingers through your hair to try and ward off the fuzzy head feelings. Cutie dragon Menace all curled up and cute; what a sweetheart. I hope he's keeping you company and keeping watch over you while you recover from the hangover. 🥹 I've never been one for drinking alcohol personally; mostly because I think I've never really acquired the taste for it, and the other for just the general expense in both a monetary and bodily sense. I've never really even liked feeling fuzzy-headed from one or two drinks, let alone feelinh tipsy from more than that. I suppose a part of my trepidation was also for the lingering effects of a hangover the day after— being Asian, you either have a good booze tolerance, or you don't, and I fall into the latter category, i think. I'll enjoy a singular drink once or twice in a blue moon, though, as a treat. You sound so soft, travelling through memories. It certainly feels like a bit of out-of-body timetravel, thinking about past younger versions of ourselves. I wonder what i would say to a younger me, if i were to meet myself. Ruffle her hair and laugh a bit at our amusement of how different we look compared to each other, perhaps. Sending hugs for young Crunch, and a big warm duvet-wrapped one for present Cromchy ☺️ You deserve all the softness in the world right now 🤍 Listening to you as I get ready for bed has made me quite sleepy and soft myself. Hope you have a restful sleep, and that the day following is kind to you. 🤍 All the kisses for you, always (and a few extra for Menace too~) -cor 💕

Long morning. Headache’s been coming and going—wonder if it's an aftereffect from the hangover. Man, I’m getting too old to be drinking! 😩 Siiiigh… This little ramble really took me back. So many years… so many places. We never had a “vacation” home, but my grandma’s sister did—and so did my uncle—so summers were usually spent over there. Barefoot, walking on dusty roads, chigatas crunching , seagulls screaming all day, kids running wild. I was always getting into scuffles with the boys because they wouldn’t let us climb the monkey bars.😂 Depending on the location, the errands would change. If we were at my grandma’s sister’s place, we’d get sent to fetch beers or ouzo—depending on the grandmas’ mood—and they’d always give us money to buy… ah, how do I explain it? It’s called vanília ypovrýchio, which literally means “submarine vanilla.” I can’t find an English name for it. It’s this thick, sticky white sweet paste made from mastic resin—or sometimes just vanilla flavor—sugar, and glucose syrup. It has this chewy texture. You take a spoonful, dunk it in a glass of water, lick it, dunk again. It’s not amazing, but we loved it as kids. Now, if we were at my uncle’s place, it was a guarantee: after dinner, they’d send us out for ice cream and tell us to eat it at the park. Their not-so-subtle way of getting us out so they could have grown-up time. I usually didn’t mind—I knew a fight would break out eventually between the adults, and I was more than happy to miss it. So, I’d get my ice cream with my brother and—without fail—I’d drag him with me to go gather/steal flowers. I say “steal” because they were always in someone’s yard. I’d sneak in and pluck as many hortensias as I could. They were the most vibrant purplish-blue I’ve ever seen. I always got in trouble for it, and my poor brother always tried to stop me—but he always followed. I just loved them so much. And no, I was not the most well-behaved kid. I got into fights with boys. I stole fruit off trees and flowers from yards. I was always covered in bruises and cuts. I chased locusts for fun—don’t ask me why, I just loved them—and I’d catch moths just to feel their wings flutter gently on my skin. I was always careful not to hold them long so I wouldn’t hurt them, but those little moments brought me so much joy. So yeah… I get the feeling of wanting to go back. Most of them aren’t around anymore, but the nostalgia is still there. I actually went back with friends a few years ago to one of those childhood spots. Back then, every night, we’d get a little allowance and run down the road to the heart of town. There, in one of the alleys, was a gelato shop, an arcade, a creperie, and this sweetest old lady with a huge, HUGE pot—she looked like a witch—making the most delicious loukoumádes. (They’re kinda like donut holes, but crispier, and drenched in honey and cinnamon. It’s a Greek/Turkish traditional sweet—I think also Egyptian, maybe?) What amazes me is how they used to let us kids run wild all night, as long as we were back by midnight. I wasn’t even ten. 😂 Anyway, the first thing I did when I went back was run straight to that little alley. I didn’t expect to find the grandma still there—she’s likely long gone—but I thought maybe someone in her family would be keeping the tradition alive. Instead, all those little shops were gone. It really made me sad. Okay—I’ve rambled enough. I got a bit emotional. Time to skedaddle. I really thought I’d keep this short, but the memories just kept purring out. Sending you gentle forehead kisses to chase that hangover away. Rest well, Crunch. May your dreams be soft and your morning kind. 🤍 Kalimera 🤍🌺 P.S. I unfortunately can’t provide the water, but could you pretend for me that there’s a glass of fresh water on your nightstand, waiting just for you? Yes? Thank you~ 🥛
