Hello everyone!Here's a little raw, unedited update audio right from mr crompch, as he's posting his audio on Reddit. You get a little behind the scenes, and I get to hear back from you in the comments! How are you doing? Have you been well? I feel like the summer has suddenly gone, but I'm totally down for the sweater weather, hehe.I'm looking forward to doing our little monthly AMA. The part that I loved of this whole update is reading along while you are typing the posts. It feels like witnessing the past literally being written, cute noises and all! I dont know, but it intrigues me greatly. And nicknames can be quite fun that way, yours having an onomatopoeiac feel to it when using Crompcht~ Tillykke med fødselsdagen, Crunchy's mom! (Is that correct? Gosh, I hope so. Still learning) I remember you mentioned the Walkman as a birthday gift. Were you able to find some extra cassettes? I hope she loved the gift! I'm actually going to head out to a convention with my siblings this weekend, really excited about that. Besides that, I've been having the regular weekdays. Learning, exploring, the whole meow meows. Oh, and it finally rained last night! Living in a dry state, it feels good to have some wet weather (and you bet your buns I got soaked, worth it). Crunchy!! I just woke up from a nap, groggy as heck, and when I saw my email saying you had posted to patreon I just WOKE UP. I’m pretty new here so everything is all so exciting for me (and it probably will be this way for a long time heheh.) Something new with me is that I finally got some new tattoos. The last time I did was a like month before the world shut down. But now here I am, two new tattoos, and still looking for artists to book with because once you start it’s hard to stop. My mom is a Virgo too!! The best moms tbh. Hi lovely! You know how going on a little walk with someone is a different experience than sitting across from them over a meal? That’s what this crunchtime felt like <3 The keyboard clickity clacks reminded me to go download that CrunTi where you kept us company for an hour while you did computer stuff. Love the ASMR companionship vibes~ it’s like co-working in a library. Brb, saturating myself with water… oh gosh I snorted at the [Begging][Slow Upload] moment. Get you a VA who talks about scalability and security issues~ When you were typing the description of this patreon post, it felt like one of those sci-fi moments when two different timelines suddenly converge. Something really special for me right now: after three years of hustling to change my career focus, I’ve gotten an opportunity that feels like a dream!! and it’s my hard work that brought me here. 🤯God, it feels so fucking good to know I’ve found where I’m meant to be. It’s a full circle moment for all the stuff I loved doing as a child … and I kind of hate that I understand why people say platitudes like “everything happens for a reason” “nurture your inner child” lol. ahhh this was nice. I would love to listen to you while editing or sth, also because i imagine it must be really akward to hear yourself fake moan( or real moans)? Idk but the process itself seems really interesting. Moral called you a busy bee on stream once and i guess thats right. I have def missed the more regular streams you used to do but i can totally understand that you have other things to do! For me its one month till Uni starts and I've just been working so i can pay my rent lmao. Sometimes it is tough to live on your own haha and i live in the constant fear of ending up homeless but oh well! Have a nice weekend crompch! I literally woke up and just listened to your audio and played some chess in bed hehe.

Crunchy! this was a nice surprise to wake up to yesterday morning! It's nice to hear more off-the-cuff behind the scenes content like this, even when it’s super casual. It's as if we’re just coexisting together and getting shit done, but making the process bearable just with each others company. 

Things for me have been… Unfortunately quite difficult. A lot of REALLY heavy unexpected things happened this past month, which will stay around for a while to come. And because it's lockdown and responsibilities I'm just supposed to act like it's normal and work through it, and that's hard. In spite of this I’m proud of how I am going. It’s bad, and it feels like I’m treading water, but I'm not drowning. I hope I can have a break soon. This weekend has been WONDERFUL though! I’ve been part of a tech conference online - partly volunteering and mostly participating. A bunch of my friends I haven’t seen in a while are here and it’s so much fun! I get to see all the fun things they’ve been doing with Python, catch up, joke and play games with them, and learn cool new things. I’m really looking forward to the next one! I hope your mum had a lovely birthday, and you had a wonderful time too!

Yo, Mr. Cromptchy, I guess my recent weeks have been a bit of a mixed bag. All in all, everything has been relatively normal, good even, with some miscellaneous things going well for me and me being able to part-take in some of my pre-Covid activities since I have been vaccinated, which has brought me great joy, we even got to go on a family vacation again. However, during that vacation I got to meet some guy online over...well, over Rule34 of all places, but he has been great truly, we texted a ton, he sent me some audios and I had some of the most fun days in a while, when it comes to anything related to my nieche hobbies and getting to know people from them. Sadly, I only really got two days with him until he would have to tell me that he was still having some mental trouble due to past relationships and needed some time for himself. We have talked again since then, but due to his Uni classes taking up more of his time, a fever and him still needing some time to open up more, we have gotten to talk way less. That being said, I think he is still very much open to talking to me, since we do still have a good amount of convos with one another, but I hope he is able to fully recover soon. And it's interesting to hear another non-native English speaker that speaks primarily English online mention that guys is a very gendered form of reference, as someone, who's German and is used to male forms being the norm in every sort of field, I was also pretty confused seeing that this seems to also applies in other languages, especially in one, where there are more neutral forms available, but to be fair there might be a good amount of historical background as to why things are this way. Either way, despite my feelings have been mixed recently, I would say I am relatively well and I hope you are too, despite being kept so busy by all sorts of things <3

She and I have birthdays about a week apart! My week has been lovely- I was in Montana for a friends wedding and just got back, and then I start a brand new job on Monday. Aw happy late birthday to your mom! It's always lovely to listen to another crunch time, they're very soothing and it's quite entertaining to hear your internal monologue. Just built a pc for the first time this week! It worked immediately! Coming from an art background it was so exciting to see that I could teach myself to do something like that. Was very affirming.
