Hi there!busy crunch here, with a lil update I recorded last week. I was initially going to redo it, because the audio quality got scuffed up from.. something? I am not sure yet, might have to spend time figuring it out. The exclusive has been recorded with the same settings, but I haven't edited it yet. (let's cross our fingers, haha) - let me know what you think..?I've been under a bit of pressure from helping my family with a bunch of stuff - but I have a few cute patreon exclusive things just for you to snack on, coming up.

Thank you for the lil update, Crunchy! It's cool to learn new stuff everyday (at least for me this is). Your St. Lucy's Day is so different from ours. It's also really fun to hear and watch children star in a Nativity play: a bunch of little babies holding a babier baby Jesus lol

Huzzah, just finished listening to the update, while at the same time you've been busy being an absolute *menace* Looks like you and I both have been busy with some family stuff recently, along with handling our relationships with the winter holidays (ditto on christmas eve celebrations here in mexican families as well, but personal stuff has made it iffy over the years. Plus no candles on our heads. Maybe tamales, tho). The past few months have been an absolute doozy here, but it's been giving me some time to reflect on many things, what I'm trying to seek and what I would like to accomplish with myself and the people around me. It also gave me the motivation to stick up for myself and establish some boundaries with certain family members, so that's a major plus I need to celebrate on 🎉 Hopefully the pressure lessens soon on your end, you deserve to breathe a bit here and there. Thank you for the sweet update (and thought provoking pic/tweet 😳), and stay safe meow meow~

I personally can't hear any background noises... Here in Greece, in our schools, we reenact the night of the birth of Baby Jesus. Can I point out how much I hated it? I'm not shy by any means, but as a kid, I detested being put on the stage, especially when I had to play the Angel or Virgin Mary. It wasn't a fun time for me. However, St. Lucy's Day reminds me of something similar we do here during Easter, but it's more of a church thing than a school event. Christmas Eve dinner is always a big family event, and as much as I enjoy the cooking, light drinking, and all that, I can't stand the fact that we have to host every single family member. Thankfully, we decided to include only immediate family members this year. I don't know if it's a tradition in other places, but we make a sweet brioche bread with spices like mahleb, mastic (dried brittle pieces of resin glands from certain trees that we grind into powder), and nutmeg. We hide a coin in it, and the person who finds it when we cut the bread is believed to have good fortune in the new year. (it’s absolutely divine with some coffee or dunked in some milk.) I enjoy Christmas, I really do, but there is always a big family fight before the year changes. It's like a family tradition at this point. So, I've learned to just ride them out as best I can. You sound a little melancholic, Crunchy, or maybe just tired? Hope you're doing well just in case—sending some hugs. 🤍

I find the gravy culture thing SO interesting. I love how the Danes seem to approach happiness in such a practical, no-nonsense way. Everyone gets the gravy they want without the stress of pleasing every single person at the gathering, and no one gets offended. Win-win.

The winter season always makes my depression worse. And it's currently kicking my butt. I'd be better off hibernating for the rest of winter if I could get away with it. The big holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas are things I always look forward to tho. The decorations and nostalgic routine of it keep me grounded. I don't pay too much attention to the religious or even the overly traditional bits of it, I'm here for the giant potluck and catching up on family drama lol. Thank you for the update and the treat 💙

ah love I couldn't understand many things :/, but that's ok, who knows one day when I improve my English... anyway, thanks for sharing... I could tell you so many things that I think are nice about Christmas, but I don't want to be a nag here. But to summarize, I believe that the name of Christ unites and consciously structured the world in a unique way... If there's anything left about forgiveness, respect and harmony, they were concepts sedimented through him in some way, today even atheists use the morals he taught there, generating several developments around the world, thus generating all the ground for us to live on today. At this time of year even the enemies take a break... I know that many have used his name to do wrong, but the kindness, unity, love and honor that he taught were stronger, and anyone who erred in the face of that, still carried his name forward. This is actually a deep subject ne, it's about the pillars of collective consciousness. But that's it... Have a good rest, angel. Oh and thanks for the photo, I love it.

Hey Crunch, hope you’re doing well and not feeling too overwhelmed! 🖤 The way you described your feelings towards Christmas is sort of similar to how I’ve felt the last few years - I try to appreciate it for what it is. My family has always had very strong traditions, especially when we were all kids, it definitely was my favourite time of the year. Now, though, it’s definitely easier to see the things I wish were different, and more of an effort to see everything I have, especially when it comes to the relationships I have with my family. It’s a lot more of a disjointed holiday now, but I do try to focus on what I have and the people who want to be in my life. Trying to make new traditions and create a nice atmosphere is worth it, even if it’s stressful and difficult sometimes. At least I’m lucky enough that I can still do that! 💕 I made my saffron buns for St. Lucy’s day yesterday and they turned out even fluffier and tastier than last year 👏 Tried subbing a bit of the soya milk with some soya yoghurt, which made them a little more moist and flavourful - super tastyyyy ✨ Accidentally made a huge batch so I’ve popped them in my freezer and will probably keep eating them until next Christmas haha 😅 (someone please come take some, my freezer is tinyyyyy)

Y'all let me visit and I'll make you an entire Southern US Christmas dinner. With all the fixings. 💯❤️

Crunch you sound so sleepy! Interesting to learn about the little things in other countries/cultures. And it’s been a minute since you’ve mentioned your nieces, I know they’re gonna be so cute, all excited about their little parade in white dresses 🤍
