Greetings from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, roughly the middle of Canada.  Joe and I have been on an epic road trip (this is day 22, may the force be with us) but we've been able to start and end each day working where ever we're staying (though often our internet connection has left a lot to be desired) so this video's finally ready.

Later this week, possibly before we're home, I'll start the blanket for the grandbaby we're expecting soonish.  Each one I've knit over the years is unique to the child it's knit for, and I thought you might enjoy a look at the process as I go along.  Today we're looking at how to figure gauge, size and do the tiny bit of math that's involved, but I think it's still pretty interesting.

Isn't it funny how much time knitters spend dreaming of the next project, but how much we dislike the actual detailed planning?
