Hello Poppets, and do you know, I think that now that I've put this decorative weaving on two sweaters a row, I might be getting over it? Every once in a while a little obsession takes hold around here, and this time it was a doozy - I mean, who knits a whole other sweater just so they can do it again? Yeah. It was me.

I'm pretty sure I have a grip now, and used the second kick at this can to make a little video of how I went about it.  As I did the second one it occurred to me that that I didn't have to go all the way across the rows, that I could build a pattern by skipping some stitches and columns, and decided on the diamonds.  I sketched it out quickly on a piece of graph paper- with each square representing a stitch, and then it was just a matter of counting. As I finished I did have a little urge to knit another sweater so that I could try more and more ideas, but at least this time I thought it should be a kids sweater.

The yarn I used for this was Hudson and West Forge, in Gold Leaf - the yarn I used for the weaving is anyone's guess - the ball band has gone the way of the dodo.

The pattern was Nuuk (again) and the weaving inspiration was the Whidbey Sweater (again.)

Questions?

See you soon,

Stephanie
