onyx 💫

RAWRRRRRR HEY DEEEEE im new here but ive been watching u for literal yearssssssssss. i love u so much u don't get it! AND U LOOK GORGEOUSSSSSSSSSSSS! <3

Omar_q8

Dee is working hard today even tho nicki stressed her out lol 😂we appreciate u❤️

Marlxn

THIS WHAT THE FUCK WE BEEN WAITING FOR😂😂💕💕

Tre Davis

Nah, I was waiting for this after my first listen to the album yesterday lol. I knew my Leo sister was gonna react to it. This album has so much replay value and I enjoy every song on here. Dodger’s Blue is my least favorite though because I wasn’t that engaged into it, but it’s still good enough at best. Shoutout to the West Coast cause yall are eating this year lol. Plus with Cole also dropping The Warm Up on streaming services too makes it much better lol (can’t wait for Friday Night Lights next week lmao)

Tre Davis
>>156177538

Definitely a nice first pick to get into because it’s definitely the most “fun” album he ever released. Hope you enjoy the other projects too when you get to them at some point 🙂‍↕️

Jonah Voss
>>156177538

i’ll definitely check out “damn.” next bc i love loyalty w rihanna 😅

CheloDame's Corner

“Ahhh ahhh Nicki Minaj”😂😂😂😂I’m dying 😂😂😂😂😂But it’s true tho

K 🩷

Squabble up had me going WILD 😭😭😭

Chris Bennett

My rap album of the year lol thx for the reaction!

Jazzy

I was WAITING on your reaction. I'm not even from LA, but I can feel the pride he takes in being from the west coast love all through this album 😭

Terrance Ford

Kendrick did his big one with this one

Mikey

now THIS is music, thank you kendrick🙏🏻

Joshua Lewis

Not me almost falling off the treadmill in the gym when I done seen this notification … THIS ALBUM FIRE!!!… 🔥 I didn’t listen to nothing until this video, sometimes I need Dee to get me through these albums cause the reactions make it much better 🫡😅💖…

annoyedsquire

MUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!! This one for the YNs

deeshanell
>>156179267

Yesss and he made so many LA references and featured so many LA artists. My heart is full lol

southcentralboy94

During Dodger Blue why do you do that voice when you said Hollywood lmao. I get it, I hate transplants too

DwayneJay

MUSTAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRDDD!!!! 😂😂 Kendrick snapped though. I was so hype finally getting “squabble up” in full.

Shelby

Im so excited. Im glad he gave us this before this year ended. Now we have time to learn the lyrics before the Super Bowl

Mira

NAH, cuz I was so shocked last night opening Spotify to see Kendrick pop up, THEN I SAW “ALBUM”. What a surprise fr.

Chet Kincaid

About to Airplay this to the tv! Let’s blast this on the speakers! I know the lyrics will be delivered but always here for the beats!

Paul Reyes

It’s hard for me to choose a favorite song off this album because they’re all so good, even the slower ones. Also, the Bay Area influence was heavy on this one, and me being from the Bay, I loved it.

Meta

I loveee that Kendrick is tripling down on his “hate”. Other people would take the W and be fine with the losers talking like they’re winners. Kendrick said fuck that.

Anthone Ray

I was in a group chat yesterday hearing that Kendrick dropped and I thought it was a song NOT A WHOLE ALBUM! Ran this album back from top to bottom 3 times already. 2024 was and is K. Dot’s year. There’s no filler on GNX. Happy he made an album that sounded regional. I feel like everything he do is a chess move. So happy you reacting to this!

ExperienceNIgnorace

I was at work and saw this and was pissed cuz i wanted to stop everything lol but revisit luther that shit slap but I can take 8 outta 12 and to me that's classic status

Synical

Crazy kendrick dropped an cole dropped the come upvon streaming same day. Coincidence?!! I'm sure they'll be 2 hrs long yt vids explaining the connection lol. Also, on reincarnated he's speaking from little Richard first, people say the second is Whitney Houston but I think it's billy holiday. And the 3rd is essentially his story mixed with lucifers story.

Lushymuse

Dee u only way I’m listening to this album lol cuz I’m not gonna lie I was on Lil Wayne side. I just don’t feel like Kendrick would’ve gotten that spot if that rap beef did not exist this year with Drake.

ImElijah💋

On the song “wacced out my mural” somebody actually tagged his mural in California like a few months ago

Shakyra Joy

I actually love Luther lol, this isn’t my favorite project from him but it’s solid. Love your reactions Dee!

Stizz
>>156183072

Kendrick has the catalog and won three biggest rap beef ever

𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐝

Hes so trifling tbh…. Surprise dropping the moment tpp started to rise in itunes like……….

deeshanell
>>156181549

Yeah he def made a few Bay Area references, I appreciate that he’s showing love to both Northern and Southern California

Paul Reyes
>>156181549

Also, word on the street is that he might drop a second album and this project was like an appetizer.

RPL

I knew this reaction would be legendary just from the caption alone. Although I'm surprised you didn't cry this time 😂

deeshanell
>>156184325

Alright you gotta give me a little more credit than that, there was nothing to cry over lol def gotta start removing when I cry in the future if I'm getting a crybaby reputation now damn 😂

Meli

MUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

Antisocialgirle (Des🤍)

The reaction we’ve all been waiting for!! 🙂‍↔️ He ateee! This album is fireee! My favorites are wacced out murals, Squabble up, Luther, Tv off, hey now. I can see Luther being really popular! It’s such a vibe, it’s been on repeat for me 😂💃🏾 I had a feeling you wouldn’t really vibe with it tho lmao Him screaming “MUSTARDDDDDDDD” is most definitely about to be a meme lmaoooo 😭 The moment he said “don’t say you hate L.A when you don’t travel past the 10” I instantly thought of Dee going on her lil rants 😭 I knew you was gon feel that line lmaoo I’m sorry but the way he came on in peekaboo had me weak fr, he saying that shit fast asl🤣 this man is hilarious!

RPL
>>156184325

Nah, you're not a crybaby. Those were thug tears and they were understandable for that song😂

Sharma Sue
>>156185862

I don't think anyone missed that simple bar, it's just not that interesting to point out 💀

Faith

It’s rumored that he’ll be dropping another before the Super Bowl too

Jay.Eli

Listening now for the 3rd time with you LFG!!

Sunwoo's Wife: Destiny

all i know is ken was right up on that mic in the stu 😭😭 cuz aint know way we should hear all that breath on man in the garden, I DESERVE IT AWHH

Tierra

I feel like this project is definitely just his mixtape before the actual album that everyone is anticipating

Jordan

One of my favorite Kendrick projects hands down

Jazz Rivers

I love how SZA came in almost like “Aight move nigga lemme help you out” 😂😂😂 luther is a vibe. THIS is what you do with a SZA feature.

Sunwoo's Wife: Destiny

38:47 when i heard him say this yesterday i was like dee gon like this one 🤣🤣 cuz you are always saying that lol

Jazz Rivers

When he said “Don’t say you hate LA when you don’t travel past the 10” I knew Dee was gonna feel that lol

mal

album of the year

deeshanell
>>156185498

Yall already know! Lol but yes, he cracks me up too 😂 I loved the sprinkles of humor on this album

deeshanell
>>156186130

Yeahh a lot of things have been rumored though and been wrong so I'm not gonna get my hopes up lol this might be the only album we get. It would be dope if he drops again though

it’sDEUCE

Always look forward to your opinions ❤️ side bar I know Nicki hot Kendrick dropped the same day as her.

Tiffany

Fire!! Whats your favorite rap album of the year so far?

Richard Porter

I feel like now that Kendrick is indie now, he can actually put some LA rappers on for real, and maybe he did self reflect on not doing so in the past and wanted to change that going forward. That maybe the lesson he absorbed from this Drake beef and backlash. Plus that might be good for him to get some artist and play the background since he anti-social and doesn't really -uck wit the fame like these other rap niggas do. Dope reaction.

Lauren

This is my first time listening to the album after watching your review, and I’m sold—it’s the album of the year for sure. Kendrick might outsell everybody this year. The production on this album is insane, he dug in the crates with the samples from SWV, Luther, Tupac, and more. That homage to Nas’ 'One Mic' was fire. Honestly, no complaints here—it's a no-skip album. Kendrick’s storytelling never gets old. As an East Coast girlie I love West Coast music, and the fact that he featured artists like Wallie Sensei, AZ Chike, Left Gunplay, and Siete. 🔥🔥Word on the street from some LA podcasters that's connected to Kendrick and TDE is he's dropping again soon. Some say this is more of a mixtape than a full album, but who knows? I'm seated, I can't wait for the super bowl performance it's going to be one for the books.

Michael Canty

As soon as I heard “Bitch, I'm from the LAnd Don't say you hate L.A. when you don't travel past the 10” I thought of Dee lmaaoo

clarence.

YES. He finally dropped and just in time for the new year!!! A BANGER OF AN ALBUM🔥🔥🔥 NO SKIPS My Top 5: 1. SQUABBLE UP (just perfection) 2. GNX (this beat is so strange but so captivating to me) 3. REINCARNATED (Beautiful story telling, him and the father having the convo) 4. MEN AT THE GARDEN (because we deserve it all🔥) 5. TV OFF (perfect banger to start and hype up any party from now on)

Mazin

There is definitely more music coming, because the snippet that was played in the trailer was not on the album…

gigu

now wayne on twitter playing stupid 😭 kendrick CHEWEDDD this but i have a feeling he’s definitely dropping again before the superbowl!! kendrick has collaborated with la artists before on the black panther soundtrack.

Muffinz Okuurr

Wacced Out Murals is such a great intro to an album. Got him fucked up. I love it soo much. A message to YM fr. Mustarrrrdddd had me rolling for a hot minute. I knew you weren't having it with the singing, lol. I really listened to it in one sitting too. Side Note: I feel like Wayne got pressured in saying what he said about the SB headline because he had those grown crybabies (his peers) making a big deal about it. Perhaps he felt a way about it, but he probably shrugged it off until all those noises were made. Those 2 (especially) didn't want to go down alone with their messy selves and baited their own into this. Nonetheless, I'm so elated for this upcoming Super Bowl. It finna be liiiiit.

Milkyway

The Barbz are on Twitter doxxing Kendrick's family members because they believe Kendrick, Roc Nation, and Jay Z are trying to sabotage Nicki's PF anniversary release. Honestly, they are one of the most sick fan bases and are no different from Trump supporters.

Faith
>>156186130

It’s only rumored because supposedly akademics said he was gonna leak Kendrick’s album before he drops because he know the release date and Kendrick’s label didn’t even know he was releasing it up until a hour or 2 before it dropped. I would love another one cause this album is 🔥

Faith

And the fact that lil Wayne is on Twitter/x talking about “how did I get in it” like sir??? You’ve gave not 1 but 2 speeches about not getting the halftime show

deeshanell
>>156203842

Yeah some of them are mentally ill, it's embarrassing. I just had to block one of them over here who was pressed over my last reaction lol like it's not that deep, that lady do not know you smh

Charmaine

that peysoh verse on gnx reminded me of cardi’s flow on thotiana remix

deeshanell
>>156201339

Yeah I definitely feel like people got into his head because he doesn't usually engage in public antics like that smh

deeshanell
>>156199629

Talkin bout "what I do", you know exactly what you was doing, stop lol Kendrick didn't even actually diss him though, he need to settle down

deeshanell
>>156197006

That's dope you know them! Most people don't, you tapped in fr lol but yes this is a solid album, I'm excited to keep listening

LaLa💙

MUSTAAAAAAAAAARRRRDDD

deeshanell
>>156204736

Him throwing rocks then hiding his hands is crazyyy lol but I’m sure in his head he doesn’t view what he did as a slight to Kendrick even though it obviously was

kellem' Boyz

dee i fucks wit u. but how u gon say u love dot but never like any of his best or deep work. thats what make the world love him. you just like the hits

kellem' Boyz

and also questioning the timing or authenticity is wild. dot literally just said if he wasnt even fucking wit black hippy bc he was tryna establish his creativity. but he always looked out behind the scenes. private ♊️ shi

deeshanell
>>156206195

So? Lmao I'm not a superfan like you, never claimed to be. You taking that statement too literal, I don't know that man. The love can be reserved all for you to give to him, you got it

Kayso

My top 5: squabble up - I knew I heard the snippet somewhere it was at the start of not like us video lmao I'm slow. I kept figuring out where tf I heard it from since its been a while since I watched the not like us video. Glad he dropped it it's a banger. Something you can dance to just like not like us and it's fire luther - Kendrick and SZA never miss. Every time they link up and collab they make bangers plus I love SZA peekaboo - Love how catchy this was, you could tell Kendrick had fun making this song heart pt. 6 gnx wacced out murals was a great intro. I liked that he addressed everything and everybody, I respect it, coming from a Wayne fan. I also like hey now and tv off. I think the point of reincarnated was I guess Kendrick wanted to reincarnate himself as 2pac, I think that was the goal, that's why Kendrick sounded different on the song. He wanted to sound/rap like 2pac. Plus there's 2pac sample too. That's how I took it

KnymsWrld

Literally one of 2 of my fave reactors! Integrity, realness and charisma!

Meli

This album is such a great mix of nostalgic west coast and modern sounds, great storytelling and humor/ turn up songs🔥

Kaye

I loved your honest reaction! I really enjoyed the album but not every song was my style. But overall it was great vibe 😎

Ruin

He dropped squabble up 😂 but not the song from the teaser video. So we might be getting another album.

deeshanell
>>156206704

Yeah that's what I figured also, he def sounded like he was trying to rap like 2pac. And I'm really happy we got squabble up too! :)

ABDOUL KADER SIMPARA

Dee Girl. I’ve been waiting for this all the way from Germany hahaha

Shinra Tensei

we def are getting another album. this is the mixtape i think. his whole team is kinda hinting that this is "an appetizer" over on twitter lol

Preston

How are you feeling about Megan Act II by the way? Do you still listen to the songs you added to your playlist? Not sure if you said how it grew on you in any of your other reactions on here already.

JustKris

I wish that snippet was on the album praying it’s on the next one 😩

deeshanell
>>156228115

Gotta be! Can't wait to hear the full version. The full version of Squabble Up surprised me a bit, wasn't expecting it to sound like that. I love that he's not predictable

Jakruby

Kendrick just put me on to Peysoh 😮‍💨👌🏾

Jakruby

Bro GNX….FIRE af 👌🏾👌🏾🔥

Paul Reyes

It’s been fun watching the chaos unfold on Twitter since this album dropped 😂

john briscoe

Album🔥. Kendrick is so unpredictable 😭. He literally dropped it on a random Friday! We all thought he was gonna drop before his Super Bowl performance. Few songs I wouldn’t listen to personally but this album was great

Steven Wilder

You 100% would’ve put “Dodger Blue” on your last LA vlog lmao

Steven Wilder

If yall had to guess, which songs off this are gonna be the mainstream/radio hits, and which songs is Kendrick gonna do a music video for? 👀🤔

Paul Reyes
>>156276045

TV Off is definitely gonna be mainstream. It’s already started with all the memes. Squabble Up not too far behind, then Luther would also be up there.

Tati

Now this is an album. I'm excited for the superbowl.

Nina Ruffin

Kendrick has collabed with smaller la artists. Those songs just haven’t been mainstream. That’s how I found out about the group sob x rbe because of Kendrick’s black panther album.

deeshanell
>>156308082

I wouldn't consider sob x rbe smaller artists at all, they have several songs that have 30-60 million views on YouTube..they're not the most popular group of course, but they def had decent mainstream success. That's not the case with a lot of LA artists he collaborated with on this album. Also they're not even from LA lol they're from the bay

deeshanell
>>156241764

Yeah I was guessing it would be right before or right after the superbowl. That's probably when he'll release this other project that's rumored to drop

HotCumodity77

Ok so I wanted to just watch this & not bring Nicki up but I knew right off the rip which bars were for her too & I’m glad u clocked it Dee..On tv off I thought he was talking about her again also… This album/mixtape fits right in with all of his music & It’s so Cali,I loved it 💃🏾💃🏾💯💐

Jean-Marc

Hittaj3 is dot homeboy from Compton he’s been on his songs before but it was from section 80 days

PRESIDENT OF THE HOME OWNER ASSOCIATION

when i heard the lines k dot made about people who go to L.A., i immediately thought about dee 😭😭 i said, “omg when dee hears that part, she’s gonna flip her rolling chair over” 😭😭😭

Cesar R🇩🇴

I knew Dodger Blue would be a great song for Dee😂🔥🔥😭 My fav songs are waccted, luther, dodger blue, and reincarnated.

Smitty Benzo

This man is calculated af. By the time The Superbowl airs, these anthems will be engraved in alot of folks heads 😂

𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐝
>>156183786

what? like its not at all a little weird that he surprised drop so all of a sudden when tpp 10th anniversary was released? even if it was just a coincidence—ion like it! 😭

Stizz

Lots of love for the messicans on this album too shit fye 🔥🔥😂

Justine

I couldn't wait for this reaction, I absolutely LOVED this album! I was gonna list my favorites but it's easier to just say the only one I probably wouldn't listen to over and over would be man in the garden. Also, I guessed already that the only slower song that Dee would keep is dodger blues😂.

deeshanell
>>156308082

He could very well have genuine intentions, I'm just yappin 😂 just was pointing out something I noticed. But either way, I'm happy he featured more LA artists :)

Arielle

Amazing album! fav so far is reincarnated for sure!

deeshanell
>>156314451

Yeahh I think she got a couple whacks because of her comments after the whole Wayne Superbowl debacle lol

deeshanell
>>156317225

Lmao it definitely got rolled around during this video but not quite flipped over, maybe on the next album 😂

zxck.lydn

Ngl u the first person I heard not like “Luther” lol

DimetryB

“Minimal Manor” is insane 🤣🤣🤣

zxck.lydn
>>156461715

you don’t gotta be everyone else, trust, I was just noticing you standing out, that’s all

deeshanell
>>156461715

Got it. Wasn’t sure if this was a slick comment because people are always talking shit about MY preferences as if we all have to be the same lol people like and dislike different shit, so was just throwing that statement out there. All love 🫶🏾

Greg la Flame

I completely agree with all your choices here and reasonings lol. The slow songs are definitely appreciated as a work of art, but I have to be in a certain mood for that (which is rare). Solid project and reaction

deeshanell
>>156506462

Agreed! I’m rarely in a mood for slow, chill rap. When I want slow music, I turn to R&B 😂 just a preference! So yeah I feel you lol

WRBP Prideful

Heart part 6 is a song I can play just to vibe to it, jawn feel euphoric

Duckman Cadew

THIS IS THE REACTION I WAS SEEKING 🧐 FROM DEE SHANELL 😁I GOT THE MEMBERSHIP FOR THIS ONE 😁 👍🏾 I LOVE THE REACTIONS DEE 😂 THANKS DEE 😌 I'M AT PEACE, GNX 🔥 ❤️ 🙏🏾 👍🏾

deeshanell
>>156595499

So glad you're at peace now 😂😂 thanks so much for the support and for coming over to check out the community here! Much love ❤️

Synical
>>156461715

I didn't like it either just because of the sample use. Some things shouldn't be touched and that song is one of them.

Cameron Woods

hey dee!! first off i love your videos, been with you since 2022✊🏽 also plz don’t block me lol this isn’t meant to be a video request, but if it is plz lemme know i do apologize, but i was wondering would you ever show your spotify wrapped? i’m just always interested in the music you listen too and wanted to know if u had any recs. but if this goes against your rules i apologize i won’t do it again i promise😭❤️

ClttMinaj🤍

Thought you were about to start crip walking-36:15😭😭

Tiffany

I could tell you were agitated by Nicki album in the intro 😂 This reaction made my Saturday Morning. Loved it ❤️

Pjackson

As soon as I heard him talking about LA On Dodger Blue I subscribed to see your reaction😅🤣!! U spoke About it way before the album dropped ‼️🔥👌🏾

Tavon Christian

LMFAOOOO THE RANDOM NICKI SHADE😭my gworl can’t EVER catch a break😔💀😭

Ken Perkins

Coming back to this reaction after the Drake reaction
