The entire thing about the Shrimp and Petroleum Festival King and Queen felt like the setup to a horror film about an 18 year-old woman slowly realising she's going to be fed to an ancient fish god who inhabits the male descendents of an industrialist family. Big 'old dark ritual' vibes.
