The weed discussion was hilarious. I only indulge very rarely (my job is literally remembering things), but here in Canada the weed is weapons grade and wholly legal. Lovely, to be sure, but it can be a bit annoying when a shopkeeper or postal worker cannot even see or hear you because they are high to a degree never seen in human history.

the AI stuff is really bleak boontas, it's just the newest in a long line of societal trends which demonstrates the degree to which everyone is just giving up on actually living their lives in favour of sitting at the bottom of the infinite content funnel where they react to everything like those TikTok NPC influencers - "sex scene too spicy" "ooh mr beast, gang gang" and there's this weird justification where people talk about how it's all in service of freeing themselves up to enjoy the good stuff in life, which sounds good until you actually ask people to explain what they do with all the precious minutes they've saved by having ChatGPT reply to an email from their mum and it's just more slop and AI shit I don't know how to explain to that person that even replying to an annoying email from their mum about something trivial is so much more worthwhile to their life than palming it off to an LLM and instead spending an hour listlessly scrolling through fake profiles posting midjourney images on instagram anyway, yeah medical cannabis in Australia is heaps good now 👌 it's hard to compare prices because they use what I'd call non-standard sizing like 10g containers, but the quality is reliably good from the dispensaries I've used and my insomnia is almost completely cured!
