man if you want vermont beaver stories you should know about a guy from my 800 person hometown named Skip Lyle the Beaver Deceiver. named thus because his side hustle was gently capturing and relocating beavers who were flooding farmland/peoples homes. went to school with his son

there was also an incident where, because of a years-long fight over putting up a wind tower on the town's mountain, someone killed the beavers he kept as "family pets" on his property as a warning not to vote on the wind tower proposal. lined them up on his stoop. poor little beavers 🦫 🥲
