When I was a child growing up on Bainbridge Island, WA I remember distinctly driving towards the Agent Pass bridge with my dad. While looking out the passenger window I saw, for just a moment, three men in a driveway encircling a lone emu. Their hands were raised in terror, or perhaps supplication. I stared, in fascination, before remarking, "Look dad, an emu!". He responded, "Sure son, whatever you say."

Where has Tom gone? Where has my boy disappeared to

We'll always know the truth. I've been to Bainbridge Island twice now and the first time I got on the car ferry entirely by mistake, I was just following the GPS and ended up in the queue and it was a very pleasant surprise.

As an American, I wish to express the absolute, even pressing, need to mock us for all of our manifold shortcomings. However, I do feel it is only reasonable to point out that Australia is the only country in the world to lose a *war* against emus. Clearly Tom was yet another casualty in the painful genocide that emus continue to wage against your people.

Love to hear some of the classics (Dr Lucy old theme)
