Bored at work and re-listening to this so I know this is like 8 months later but you actually can just connect to your google home mini as a Bluetooth speaker to get around the inability airplay to it

My Apple Podcasts just took 2 literal days to update its library after moving to a new phone. I’m 100% certain there’s no such thing as a good podcast app.

“What is my mothers cousin to me?” Your first cousin once removed, Andrew. I scream at the podcast

Boonta Vista

No - she has been diagnosed as a Hardcore Gamer :( (She’s having a nice little holiday)

Love the return of Cousin Shit! It’s so alien and funny

Papa Gino's was the local chain of my childhood and I never encountered either of these mascots. it's pretty good.

is there some huge cultural cousin gap? I'm not even that close w my 7 cousins, but they're still very important family members.

Lilith Dyke

also, any 2nd or 3rd cousins? that's just your cousins. great uncles or 2nd aunts? that's just uncles and aunts, baby. all my cousins kids are also my cousins by proxy. dad has a lifelong best friend? thats my uncle. this episode has rocked my worldview

I'm almost exactly Andrew's age and though I am not super close to my extended family I don't think that's good or normal. Weird to hear left wing people defending the nuclear family and describing anything else as weird when the nuclear family is very much a capitalist thing meant to reduce solidarity among workers.

Lilith Dyke

eh i wouldnt go so far as saying they're defending it, but it is very different from what I'm used to- and I'm not even from a specifically family-oriented culture at all

Boonta Vista

if you don't find the idea of a soulmate cousin funny this is 100% not the podcast for you
