Looking forward to it. I like how he says "lets see if it works" which is pretty much the entire thing we're wondering when watching or playing the game. 🤣

It's what I basically figured the situation for the game was -- an inherited project left in poor shape that a small team has somehow managed to miraculously turn into a mostly working game, yet lacks the resources a large-scale 3D MMORPG requires to be successful. I am still curious about the Otherland IP usage agreements and to what extent the IP can be used. Can someone else inherit the project and still use the Otherland world? Or expand upon it? Not terribly familiar with intellectual property arrangements from that point-of-view. Glad you chose Otherland and managed to figure out solutions to many of the issues I faced that I never got around to figuring out. Great series. I've considered writing a book series on obscure and interesting virtual worlds, but still have too many projects I'm working on to take on that. I really should finish Otherland. It's a shame that cyberpunk and post-apocalypse MMORPGs seem to not gather the attention and fanbase, and as a result tend to lack the longevity, of a market with way too many fantasy MMORPGs.

Hey Josh, I wonder, is there an update on the Otherland situation? Are they going to go open source / actually invest in it? Or has the player base growth from your video series died off and it's back to obscurity?
