Hi All, hope you're all well!

First off, happy easter!

Now, I need your input and feedback. I know my channel has been focused on MMORPG games for quite some time, and the 'worst MMO ever' series has been very well recieved.

The danger with this series is how it limits the terribleness to just the MMO genre, which is why I'm looking at the possibility of expanding into more.Worst RPGWorst Adventure

Worst Hack n slashWorst ps1 / ps2 / xbox / gamecube

You get the idea.

How would you feel about seeing the truly terrible games played, reviewed and in some cases even completed, from every genre?

All about it. I love the amount of care and analysis that goes into your videos, so I’m really here for the commentary. I’ve genuinely learned things about MMORPGs and how they work haha. I’d love the chance to hear your take on other genres as well. RPGs and MOBAs are my favorites, so I’d cast my vote there~

As I stated in the discord, an RPG tangent would be simple and not too big a jump. However, I don't think I'd enjoy watching coverage on prehistoric games nobody played for years... By this I mean the Gameboy games.

Arylith

I'd definitely check it out. Also, kudos on the tinder mmo video, it gave me solid laughs yesterday.

Tinder video was so left field and got me off guard; took me an hour to stop laughing... maybe I just needed to laugh... anyways Worst of the worst is a great idea; I can see the pause since your channel is mainly MMO's but try a few games like ChaoticLegion said that people have at least heard of to start off with and then branch out to more that users have not and see how it goes; either way I'll still watch

Carl Henry

I'd watch anything I knew you had to suffer to play. :)

Lazy_Fangs

Hey, as long as you play it so we don't have to :D

MightyMagi82

Anything horrible that I don't have to pay is perfectly fine to watch fire me, loved the otherland series btw.

I really enjoy the Worst MMO series, and I would not be averse to expanding to other gaming genres. My gut is that the "worst" schtick can get a bit tired after some time. It would be nice, if, as is the case at least with some of the MMOs, some of the other games you play as the worst end up actually being good or having a really major redeeming quality (e.g. the graphic set pieces of Otherland) that make the game worth the time to give a play. I mention this because I have seen developers pour their heart and soul into a piece of software, and I understand how devastating it can be to see it panned even if your particular contribution is amazing and is a diamond in the rough, as it were. I am entertained by the direction you have taken thus far, and I love the production value and the time you put into making the videos. I do want to caution you against burning out. It is easy to do. I think you have a reasonable release schedule for the videos, but I wouldn't want you to lose enthusiasm for creating content that properly showcases your humor and ability to entertain and audience. Thank you for being a top-notch content creator. Be well.

I agree, and I'll make sure to include some hidden gems in there too

I presume you don' want to be known as the 'MMO guy' ? I think expanding out into similar genres would be a fantastic idea. Worst RPG or Hack'n'Slash. Not sure whether it would necessarily be as good an idea to branch out into the worst a gaming system has - in part because this kind of content does already exist (Octav1us King sort of covers this) I think sticking to a genre also grants a kind of cohesive nature to the series; games within the same genre are easier to compare and without being prescriptive the videas can be similar in format.

I love the idea. Especially the rpg play through. However, I’m not sure how I feel about playing really old games. It never hurts to try it!

I think diversity and variety are good. Now, there are going to be some series I completely skip (as a PCMR person, I have zero interest in console games, as one example) but if it grows the audience, I'm all for it.

Morten (Caengar)

Sounds like a great idea. Diversity and variety is great, and I would love to see "worst games" in other genres too.

Im just here for your soothing voice to be honest, you could make getting your license renewed interesting. That being said people will flock to good content despite itself, make what you want and be genuine in it and people will enjoy it!

Worst RPG relates more to the MMORPG genre that you have been working on and transition would be smoother than an entire different genre, say FPS. I would like to learn more about your game development experience. You have touched on game design in some of the vids but not much more (for example, review/assess an MMORPG for one hour of playtime) I think a series on game design theory and practice would be both really interesting. It can be broken into the concept stage, to which games gets picked, to pre-production, production, and post production etc. I’ve always been curious but I don’t know anyone irl to ask about the game dev cycle/process so I thought I’d ask here. Cheers, I am a huge fan of your work!

I could help with ps1 and nearly any system of that era and before. I love collecting odd games. Cosmic Race for the PS1 is definitely up there for worst game on the PS1.

I enjoy your sense of humor and delivery on your content so any addition "Worst of" videos would be entertaining. Just don't get too focused on only worst games or you may not ever want to play games again. :-)
