hey y’all! may I present to you, your february demo.. ‘parallel lines’.


it’s a sombre one, this.. i wrote it about looking back on an abusive/manipulative relationship & finally seeing the wood from the trees.. the narrator of the song leaves the relationship hurt while the other walks away fine, maybe oblivious of the harm they’ve caused. blehghgh. It was inspired by an experience I had & also the experiences of some friends. 


more to come on the lyrics etc tomorrow or friday.. for now, here’s the demo and I really hope you like it :) for any new folk, you can listen to this & the other demos on the patreon site or mobile app (where you can also save it offline) or you can download the attached mp3!

Oooh bloody hell you've done it again! Was totally swept up in that crisp, clean guitar and then 1 minute in it GOES OFF. There's one note you play that is puuureee Fleetwood Mac and i love it, but this is a total ballad. Definitely one of your most powerful songs. Really love the guitar here and your voice is so strong in this one as well! I just find the percussive element somewhat confusing and distracting; probably because I can't quite define the sound, if that makes sense? Also, I am really looking forward to the release of your EP! Keep up the good work - you're doing great! xx

its funny about the percussion - ive listened to this 10 times and didn't even pay attention to it, until just now. and i can kind of agree with it feeling a bit on the outside of everything else. but this is by far my favourite thing youve written - i love love love it !!
