hey gorgeous folk! greetings from a tour bus a little outside of rainy Brighton. today I finished your march demo.. it just needs a listen on fresh ears tomorrow morning & it will be with you! I'm excited for you to hear it, I've been touring with my friend dodie for a few weeks & it's been lovely to have a demo to dip into every few days. :)

and today I got my first tattoo! AH. I've had this design saved in my phone for about a year.. I saw it somewhere online & just became weirdly drawn to it. I love that on first glance it doesn't look super serious.. though for me it also holds a bit of weight. I think when you pick a career like music you need to have a blind faith in the universe.. you have to just close your eyes, fall back & know that in the end, one way or another everything will be alright. :) luckily this way of thinking comes has come fairly naturally to me so far.. I'm not sure I could pursue something like music if it didn't! so I wanted a little reminder that in the worst of times, some day, somehow everything will be ayyyyyy okay. ☺️

any of you guys have any tattoos & stories behind them? I'd love to hear in the comments!see you tomorrow for your DEMO!

love

Well, I for one am happy you chose music. And I am very fortunate that I found your music years ago from the States. Been a fan since the first YouTube video I saw. You can tell how much you love doing what you do. And how much you respect And love your fans. It's great to see how far you've come just since I first heard you a few years ago. Keep it up.

I really like the meaning behind your tattoo, I have two tattoos both quotes and the first one I got is very similar to your meaning. "Despite the weather it gets better" just to remind me that no matter what's going on it will get better and it will work it self out. :) Have a grand weekend!

Art for art's sake is still so important! I don't think everything has to have a meaning! :) yay. Yeah, I used to be so precious but what even is skin.. just a suit we where til we die and life is shoooort x

I. Love. It. 👌 my most recent tat is a sketch by keaton henson called art | music and is similarly a kinda homage to pursuing a career/ LIFE in the arts

Love it! I have a small feather on my ribs (to indicate angels ie my Nanna) and my mum’s actual signature is incorporated into one of the quills :)

I have one tattoo. Two stars on my wrist (the outline of stars). My best friend and I went to get tattoos after we both turned 18 (almost 10 years ago now...eeks). It doesn't really mean much to me today as far as why I got it. My friend and I aren't as close as we once were and stars don't have much meaning to me anymore. I don't know what to tell people when they ask the meaning lol. I guess it means something in a way of it has been there so long that it is just part of me. I often forget I have it because it just seems almost like a birth mark I guess. I see it everyday and it is fun to think back to the time in my life when I got it. But I guess it is useful if I ever get murdered and they need to identify my body hahah.

And I love your tat and glad you decided to get it! You always will need a visual reminder that everything is going to be okay. Life is rough and you lose your passion/purpose/vision/faith in yourself/etc. often (or at least once). It doesn't matter how often other people tell you it is all going to be okay, it is usually your voice of truly believing in yourself and believing it is going to be okay that you listen to. I hope you never stop believing in yourself. (Can we make a Spotify playlist to pump ourselves up and remind ourselves it is going to be okay and to have positive self talk???? Please!? Thanks!)

I actually have “OKAY” tattooed on my finger to remind myself that no matter what I will end up okay! You, me, and Meghan Tonjes... I also have No Face from Spirited Away on my arm :^)

First tattoo I got was with 16 - basically it's just a black circle on my right leg. My best friends were like "Oh we need something, that reminds us of the good old days!" and afterwards I was the only one being tattooed. Actually my room mate from high school did it with a simple needle and some ink. I never told anyone that the actual meaning to me was, admitting to myself that I struggle with mental health. Nowadays it's a symbol for more simple times and it puts a smile on my face every time, I see it...
