hey gang - THAT'S RIGHT! here's a secret demo exclusive, before the rest of the world sees it tomorrow (5pm UK time).

I loved making this. shoutout to Guy Larsen who directed, Sammy Paul who produced & Ciaran O' Brien who shot it (tweet them to tell them they smashed it! though not until it's publicly online tomorrow lol). inspired by the collage-y chaos of the single artwork (by Demii Whiffin) & the lyrics of manic frustration, Guy wanted to create a world where everything looked and felt a little unhinged.. a little CRAZY if you will. Guy is responsible for all the stop motion animation in the vid (he literally printed out hundreds of paper versions of my face!) and he custom built all the weird pieces that feature, like the mask of eyes and the ever-creepy re-assembled face that you see at the beginning of the middle 8. what a legend.

I really hope you love the vid! If you do, please help me promote it tomorrow when it goes live by sharing the link everywhere! (not the link to this unlisted version, but the link of the public upload tomorrow) :)

and if you fancy showing the song some Spotify love, we're almost at 300k! giving it a lil play or add to your playlists is a huge boost :) - https://open.spotify.com/track/3DueRoQYcxVoOBnFCXfxOM?si=vi6N7luhQUSN-9zKoVJOow

yasss! this is a lot of work that payed off! such an amazingly weird combination of video, stop motion and editing. love it! it's a good companion to the song. did you deliberately try to not put on singing faces?! that mouth on the bird is hilarious. props to everyone involved, and if you can talk about the making of, that would be a lovely podcast topic with Guy, Sammy, Ciaran and Demii? or a video if you would?

Mollie

I LOVE IT!! Fits so so well with the song and the graphics are so cool!

I like the part where you get a lovely ginger beard.

finally sat down to watch this and wow! It's captivating. I couldn't look away from it (which isn't the norm when I watch music videos these days), well done to everyone who worked on it!

Also, if you are a youtube "music" account now, shouldn't videos uploaded to your OrlaGartlandVEVO show up on your main OG channel? I didn't see the music vid in my subscriptions since I wasn't on your VEVO channel. I also don't know much about the new youtube Music feature so I could be entirely wrong.
