HEY Y'ALL.

if you missed it I recorded a video with dodie, Tessa Violet & Lauren Aquilina! we mashed up all our singles into one big BOP. it was a joy to sing with these girls in LA (fun fact.. last week was the first time we'd all been in a room together!).

I struggle with the idea of artists all competing against each other.. because it's simply not true. and as someone who has a group of friends and housemates made up almost exclusively of artists & songwriters, the reality is we're kindred spirits, with the same dreams & the same fears. so really we just made this video because we wanted to sing together.. but also I think there was an element of thinking heyy.. don't pitch anyone against one another, that's dumb. :)

I worked on it today in a hotel room in Ashland (Tessa's home town! in the mountains between San Fran & Portland). annoyingly there were PEOPLE ALWAYS IN THE ROOM TODAY (why is tour presenting a complete absence of SPACE and SILENCE) grrrr.. so vocal tomorrow, then final details..
