so I’m two tour dates into the tour supporting Hudson Taylor across Europe & the U.K. :) we played Nijmegen & Rotterdam this week, show no1 to a lovely quiet, attentive crowd.. show no2 to a slightly louder one. They were pretty chatty during my set so it was the kind of support slot that felt somewhere between a performance & an audition.. but I think I won most of ‘em over in the end. :) heck. this is gonna be like a bootcamp in learning how to be a KILLER SUPPORT ACT. I’m ready.
It’s been amazing to meet a couple of secret demo club folk at the shows so far - the remaining tour dates can be found here - https://www.hudsontaylormusic.com/tour-dates/ (I’m supporting on all the European & U.K. ones - not the Irish shows!). So still to come is Copenhagen, Stockholme, Berlin, Cologne, Paris, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, London & Brighton. If anyone does come along plz say hi, I’ll be at the merch table after my set each night ☺️ as it’s a support slot & not a headline show it’s a short set from me, 30 mins.. just so that you know what to expect ! I have merch with me too, some merch that is not yet online.. so come chat to me if you’re at any shows & introduce yourself, it’s always amazing to meet you lot in person.
Yesterday the Hudson Taylor boys went to play a festival in Germany, so I had a day off in Amsterdam by myself. I usually love being on my own but I’ve had a weird ol’ time lately & so despite the fun adventures I’m feeling a little delicate. :( but ho hey. I cycled around, found myself in an Irish bar, ate some ramen & played chess with an Irish lad at my hostel (we may have been high at the time). We had a crowd gathered around the chess board - IT WAS INTENSE.
Tonight I’m in copenhagen, again on my ownio. My first impression of this city is that it’s cold & cool as heck, the design here is amazing. My friend Maisie Peters is playing a show here tonight supporting Tom Walker, so I’m currently sat in a theatre, waiting for her to come on stage. In the middle of a tour is so refreshing to take a break to experience a show from the other side !
HOW ARE YOU GUYS? What you been up to this week?
