what even is time??? I spent all day yesterday at working thinking it was Tuesday only to find out it was Friday. Insert that gif from Rugrats were Stu is baking cake at 3am because he has lost control of his life (and weirdly enough, I did bake a cake yesterday). Also yes, your shows have been giving me a lot of fulfilment too! Both in terms of giving me something to work on for the day, but also just to enjoy some music and hang out with the SDC.

I've mostly been doing school work and getting (a little bit) better at organizing my time. A few days ago I got to play some fiddle tunes with some other musicians outside (appropriately distanced), and people who were taking walks or were just neighbors coming out of their houses stopped to watch and even dance some! Your streams have been lovely and I was super interested by you taking apart the songs to listen to the individual parts in your deep dive.

hi orla! thank you so much for this video. i’m trying to set myself up with good habits and having you talk about that was some good inspo to do it too! thank you for this. having a bit of a hard time myself. while it’s quite a unifying experience with the globe locking down together, the world feels bigger and scarier now than it has in a long time. time feels loose and difficult to understand and the bits of work i’m able to do are hard, but i’m safe and that’s comforting. i’m getting to spend a lot of time with my girlfriend (we decided to quarantine together) and have gotten very good at video calling. i feel very connected to friends and grateful that i am able to talk to people, and am going my best to stay hopeful. it’s easier to tell people how much i appreciate them now, and i am (almost) grateful for the forced separation because i’m getting better at expressing what people mean to me. including you! thank you for the secret demo club and thank you for you music and videos and encouragement!! i’m excited for your new music!! & streams and things!!
