art competition: do you mind? (Patreon)

HEY Y'ALL. so thank you so much to everyone who sent in an entry for the 'do you mind?' art competition. you are all so ridiculously talented, going through these brought me real joy. all the entries with names (and instagram handles) can be seen here!

I've picked the attached entry from Aliana as the winner! congrats. but heck, picking felt impossible - there were so so many I loved, in both concept and style! when I post the song snippet to instagram tomorrow, I'll attach the song to Aliana's artwork but also will include a few of my other faves in the post too. :)

one really interesting thing that emerged from this for me was the PRESENCE OF SO MANY ROBOTS! the visual theme of robots /tech came up again and again.. but none of you knew what the others would draw! I thought that was cool. out of curiosity, those of you who included robots - what drew you to that? my own theory would be the sort of robotic/pitched down vocal that appears in the song (especially audible in the outro section).. was it that? or was it the lyric about being 'so mechanical'? :)

thanks again to everyone who sent in an entry! I love it. also big love to John who made the orla.club site and is helping us display this artwork.. John and I have something cool in the works at the mo which I'll tell you about soon.
