your girl on billboard (and other fun things) (Patreon)

hey gang! happy weekend. how are we? thanks for the love so far on your may demo 'brave face' - if you haven't listened yet go back and dig in this weekend! I am v proud of that one, I must say.

a cool thing: billboard got in touch w your girl and interviewed me for a piece all about the renaissance of the smash hit 'why am I like this?' !  it was a lovely chat and you can read it now at the above link (& also in their latest print edition - fun).

another cool thing: the lovely David Ross Lawn has done some beautiful piano renditions of some of my songs & I think you'll love them. his version of 'Madison' transports me to ANOTHER WORLD ENTIRELY. incredible!

another cool thing: I saw Lorde play last night at the roundhouse in London and it was honestly so inspiring. I know this is such a strange thing to say about a total stranger but she just seemed.. so happy?! the show was amazingly put together and just such a triumphant victory for great pop.. after being on tour for so long it was a joy to just watch someone else's show & soak up/geek out over every element from the band to the visuals.

another cool thing: I've been cooking lots - wow I really missed that on tour. my favourite new thing to make is gunpowder potatoes  - I've been having them as a side to salmon & grilled halloumi salad.. well worth a try.

*not actually a cool thing but more a teaser* - I have some fun news for you next week.

love you SDC!
