just dropping in to say 1) hello 2) happy march & 3) thank you.. thank you so much for the feedback on my last demo, 'i don't feel like me', posted 2 nights ago! (have a scroll back if you missed it!). some really sweet thoughts on it, including some really interesting & useful critiscms. with no manager or label to share their thoughts on fresh new songs (and the face that it's impossible to listen to your own songs objectively) I feel it's genuinely invaluable to share these demos with you. I get something so good from it, and I really hope you do too.

this upcoming month is a really fun one on my end. next week my immensely talented friend 'dodie' is heading off on her sold-out UK tour, and heck, i'm in the band! I'll be playing guitar & singing backing vocals alongside other friends of ours on drums & bass :) it's my first time playing for someone else & honestly this exact tour couldn't be a more perfect introduction to it all. I love the music, it's filled with all sorts of fun things including a lot of aaaaawesome 4-part harmonies, so the one rehearsal we've had so far was the perfect blend of fun but also challenging.. I know I'm gonna learn a lot which in turn will build my lil' OG skillset & leave me more comfortable & confident with playing & performing! EEEK. Also I get to tour on a sleeperbus for the first time ever. PINCH MEH.

after the dodie shows (march 12th-21st) I'm doing 3 support shows of my own for an awesome lad called 'declan mckenna'.. this includes a big full-band London show! yayayyaya. I'm very excited. There are 3 seriously good managers coming down to scope out the OG.. so let's see how that goes, I guess. 

I'm excited to come out of this month a more-rounded performer.. alongside a ton of writing on the road, I hope :) I have so many half ideas that are just ITCHING to be finished, so a little movement & excitement is probably just what I need to take them over the line! then end of march will be time to review all things Orla - see if any managers fit the mould - and then manager or no manager, my no1 focus will be getting the next release out.  F I N A L L Y.
