demo no 86: 'the more I know' (Patreon)

happy sunday, SDC! here is your may demo - my sincerest apologies for the delay. this one is a song called 'the more I know' : ) 

may was a mad month. it was fun, stressful, wildly busy and pulled me this way & that constantly, like a big tug-o-war. trying to keep my album 2 moving forward whilst preparing another big project (to finally be announced next week, btw) has proven tougher than expected mentally. it's all been an entirely prep-based, behind-the-scenes experience and whilst I'd like to think I don't need the external validation to enjoy my job none of it really hits like the moments of connection with you all; like releasing a song or playing a show. I know the hard work I'm putting in right now will pay off down the line but I'M IMPATIENT AND I WANT EVERYTHING TO BE FINISHED SO I CAN PUT IT ALL OUT NOW, no waiting !

anyway - in the midst of all that I spent a little time with my favourite drum machine and wrote this little song called 'the more I know', a song both cynical and hopeful. this one is quite plainly about the moment you realise that no one has any clue what they're really doing and how when you think about it, that's kinda comforting. niche song themes forever!!!
