THE SECRET DEMO CLUB JUST TURNED 8 (Patreon)

guys - big news. I'm reliably informed (by SDC veteran Wouter) that I started the SDC 8 years ago yEsterday. it was a few days later, on December 1st 2015 that I uploaded demo no.1 'scenery'. link to that demo post here or if that doesn't work, mp3 of the track attached below. also here is my 2015 passport photo (cheer up).

needless to say this fact has been blowing my tiny mind all day. listening back to 'scenery' I can hear a literal chANGE in the pitch of my voice, I can hear so many differences in my approach to production ! in 8 years I have released many EPs and one LP, moved flats three times, made and lost some friends, sang songs about many different loves and started a band with my best friends. it's so incredibly heart-warming to think that so many of you have been here for all that time or indeed joined somewhere along the way.

something I'd love to know in the comments (please indulge me) - what has been your favourite demo since you joined the SDC?

by the way - if you ever want to scroll / listen back, I tag all monthly demo posts with #demo. Patreon has recently added a new 'collections' feature where you can group and archive posts and when I have some time I'll go through everything and add all demos to a collection, too.

guys - the SDC has changed my life in so many ways; like you would not believe. releasing music independently has been made entirely possible with your support - it always has and will continue to be, as I work away on my second full length, also to be released independently. I own my masters ! that is seriously huge and that is ALL BECAUSE OF YOU !!!!!!! every now and then I meet a new musician who assumes I'm on a major label, with a huge team and a huge budget.. and I'm like NOPE! instead it's a small team of the best, most hardworking legends releasing music funded by you, the Secret Demo Club.

love love love all my love
