A strange water-based humanoid lived in Lordran's rivers. The fabled "Slimefolk".

Being a timid humanoid easily blending in with water sources, some academic speculate the slimefolk are a kind of elemental or ooze humanoid who developed inteligence. Due to their amorphous body, they can shape themselves in a myriad of forms, but most of the sightings describe these creatures as muscular 6'5 hunks with huge dongs.

One of the first hand contacts with the creature involved an expedition of two thieves from the Crime Syndicate doing some routine travelling between posts in slimefolk territory. The "Slimeman" as it was described by the two witnessess, approached them stealthy, watching them from distance in the water before being noticed.

It's said one of the thieves thought it would be a funny idea calling it in a flirtatious manner, which was disregarded by thief 2#, a goblin. Doing it anyways, thief 1# proceeded to describe obscene acts to the - at start - "slime" watching them from the river. It's believed the slime interpreted that as some sort of "mating call" and in their wish to mimicry other creatures around it, assumed the aforementioned "hunk form" before spliting into two.

What's described next is uncertain since both witnesses started to argue among themselves about details like number of reproductive organs, shape, size, taste, smell, streght and other first hand details unbeknown by the cryptozoologists. Even thought their descriptions were conflicting, all data was collected and archived for future review once more encounters with slimefolks are registered.

it's the opinion of this researcher the Arcan Magical Academy should fund an expedition further down the Siora river to observe and register more interactions with the slimefolk - potentially revealing an unknown culture of inteligent slimes (or water elementals) hidding in the woods, potentially redefining what we understand for limitations of ooze inteligence and abilities.

This researcher also offers herself as test subject for fertility rate and mating habits once first contact with the slimefolk is stabilished, as a way to lower the price of such expedition.
