After a couple of dreary days, with the batteries flat, how long do you need to run the engine to get them recharged? and do you reckon your batteries recharge quick by comparison?

David Johns

I honestly can't tell how fast they take a charge. Most batteries will zip back up to 90% really quickly, it's just the last 10% or so that takes the time. I ran the engine for an hour on a couple of rainy days (and I only have a 65A alternator) and that put enough back in to tide me over to the next day although I wasn't running the laptop much (it draws a lot while editing)
