DAVID CHAMBERLAIN

Well done for taking the plunge - I share a bit of your views about these things but it seems to be part of the development of the future and one that seems to have huge marketing opportunities - i dont know why more people are not offering drone footage to websites like booking.com and others to showcase their property with a moving video rather than just a load of photographs... if i was a hotelier I would certainly pay for someone to make a good short film of my hotel including drone footage to showcase it on a website...anyway, enough of my waffling... it adds a new dimension to your videos so please continue to include footage from it - you have my vote for whatever it counts for! :) have a great day

I think people don’t offer it because if you are going to do drone work commercially you have to pass a CAA competence test which usually requires going on a short course costing around £1000. Then there’s professional insurance etc.

How loud or quiet was the drone?

I can't give you a figure because I have no means of measuring it but I would say once it got above 150 feet it was virtually inaudible and was certainly reasonably quiet once in the air.
