Cooper...man your father fucked you up badly didn't he...?

AkiDave

The immortal face palm

Dede

Nuuuuu, he rude! :( I’m sorry River! I’m sorry for Coop T_T

djwolf

Fletcher pulled the "im gonna keep it real with u, chief"

Shivering_Shilo

Oof, now THAT'S a lot of damage. (｡ŏ﹏ŏ)

Cassandra Burg

We hope River will forgive and Andy helps Cooper to have more confidence in him self. Feel sorry for everyone in this whole situation

Demonic Fenris Alpha

Oof Cooper come on. And as much as I can’t stand his ass fletcher is right. Coop needs to get it together or his entire existence is gonna self destruct. Lose any friends he may of had and potential lover Andy forever.

Licorice

Somebody finally said it!!!!

skyefawna

I know Cooper has a lot of issues, but he really fucked up here. I've mostly been on his side, but using that word (tranny) kinda makes me lose a ton of my sympathy for him. I've been hurt by that word in the past and I imagine that River probably has too. That said, I really want to see him get the help he needs.

Signari

Dang Coop, you acted like a real Dick just now. Hope he makes up with River somehow.

Nova Wolf

I just want Coop and Andy to end up together. Haven't been drawn to any other characters in your comics. There the main course the rest are just appetizers. I will say amazing scene though. Very thought provoking in these trying times.

Vaska

Coop needs hugs

John Call

Wow, Coop has more issues than tissues... ....literally

Nate the Wolfdog

FINALLY someone hands Cooper his ass. That spineless coward had it coming.

Everos

Man that sucks to be honest i dont really like cooper. His dad drilled in to him that gays are nothing but sick. It stuck in him for years he figured he was straight up until he went to college and met up with andy again but still rejected the notion that he might be gay or bi. there also what happens on this page sorry but i really dont like cooper.

LazerGrieves

Wow, Fletcher really laid out everything fucked up about Cooper in one fell swoop. Honestly tho, it was probably for the best. And poor, River. 😭

TheAngelicBard

Just reading through stuff in the comments... The pressures of toxic masculinity integrated into society are incredible. I understand that even in the LGBTQ+ community, a lot of men still feel an overwhelming need to appear strong, powerful, and in control, and it sucks. for everyone involved. But regardless of personal pressures, it's never an excuse to lash out at others. Crappy upbringing or vulnerability doesn't give anyone a right to hurt others. I am so excited that Fletcher is showing a level of maturity in a situation that Cooper's gotta get his shit together. The flow and ebb of energy in this page is fantastic. And on a slightly dorkier note, I am headcanoning that 'Beneath the Mask' starts playing at the end of this page.

Sugar Sammy

I'm super mad at coop now and also really happy Fletcher was there to verbally kick his ass. Poor River :(

djwolf

Jack, you made a real controversial page here lol. Still good work tho ^^

Rufus The Rat

Damn, you know its bad when Fletcher has to tell you that you fucked up... D:

Regonoreth

I really don't understand what Fletcher's angle is here. Cooper seems like way more trouble than he could possibly be worth, even if he is eminently financially exploitable.

Dizi Izzi

I didn't know I needed this page until I read it. Fletcher has always rubbed me wrong. But this set him up in a different light. I have that friend! I believe everybody needs at least one friend or acquaintance like Fletcher. Someone who tells it to you straight when you refuse to see what's spelled out. Sugarcoating and friendly advice is not what Coops needs or would respond to right now. Fletcher may be the most qualified mentor for someone like Coop introduced thus far. And I didn't see that until now. Coop needed to fall here. Because honestly, I don't think Andy is going to put him in his place properly anytime soon. Andy has his own shiz to deal with and I also believe he's caught in a mild honeymoon phase with Coop right now, where he can't provide Coop any growth because he likes what's happening, and I feel like Andy wouldn't say enough to jeopardize it. I think we're close to, if not already seeing Coop's rock bottom(heh), where the only way left to go is up. And it starts with reconciliation with River and some acceptance of himself, while not being allowed to just brush it off as he has until now. Damn good chapter!

M1Frank

Poor coop..

Thingymabob

As much of a cocky ass Fletcher comes off as. The guy ain't stupid and it's about time someone called Cooper on his shit. As much as I love and want to see him come out happy. The boy needed a backhand.

Evil Ash Ketchum

Glad Fletcher decided tell em how his reality is right now for em

Insomni-act

The one moment I actually like Fletcher. Coop better go apologize to River

Jackson Carr

I don’t blame Coop, although he should have more consideration for peoples feelings especially considering his own. The way older generations have depicted members of the LGBTQ community have been negative to say the least. That’s been drilled into his psyche and likely those around him. It makes it difficult for him to be prideful when there’s so much hatred around him.

ZR

I'm not out though a few people in my family know which way I swing, and I'm not bi like Cooper, but I know the shock of finding out someone else knows that you had no idea knew. In my case the coworker assumed I was out, probably just due to the passion when we talked politics and LGBT rights came up. He was super apologetic even though in his case he didn't do anything wrong and his assumption about me being gay was correct. Then it became an inside joke that set him into fits of giggles when another coworker insisted I'd "find the right lady some day." I like that Fletcher called it out as if it's obvious Cooper likes men. It's weird that he thinks "his life is over" if anyone finds out when Andy's doing just fine in the same town, but anxiety isn't always rational. I feel bad for River, but there's a big difference between having someone be a total jerk vs. having an existential crisis. That doesn't excuse what Cooper said, but he has the worst end of the conversation by far. I really like the crying at the end of the page. I hope someone finds him, and I could imagine either Fletcher or River finding him could be a great next page. Of course it's possible he'll just put the mask on and no one will.

Tex (Beach Bum Yoter)

Damn... the internal conflict of Cooper’s past where his father drilled it into him that he is to be straight, nothing else but straight. He needed to hear that from Fletcher. Maybe Coop will realize that he needs to stop self destructing and just be who he really is. Stop hiding Coop

Kyle Gaymer, Beary Rookie

Ouch, Cooper really is messed up because of his homophobic dad. He should be less worried about people knowing his sexuality but more worried about how he treats others

Lurkybot3k

I know this post is flooded with comments but I'd just like to say that your effort, especially over the last few pages, has really been shining through. Even if Cooper is being more Pooper than normal...

Vee4eva

He needs to run to Andy immediately and have sex to feel better

Ed Haynes

For once, I actually like Fletcher. Cooper needs to face and accept who he really is.

Afadi Chionesu

Of course!!! ):( Cooper has to let his emotions get in the way. A massive punch in the gut there. Shook me to the very core. I’m so glad that Fletcher was able to reason with him of not letting other people’s opinions get in his way. I sure hope Cooper will apologize to River for offending them and fast.

MasterDraco

Typical Cooper temper tantrum, but I have hopes that he will get his shit together. But Fletcher is right, he has to accept who he is first. Well drawn page again, your expressions are amazing as always.

Bullstorm

I want to hug River. I want to hug Coop. 🥺

SomePunkHusky

oof gotta put the coop daki away til he fixes this, I can't look at him. poor river

FranimaFUR

Oh dude, this is really hard because when you're a cisgender bisexual is more difficult accept your gay side. I felt many years like cooper, but I really haven't met to my gay crush. I really loves this comic jackaloo.

Eren Yanno

>=/ Hey Coop! Don't be mean to River!

Shay

I recently got something similar to this kind of treatment from a closeted guy who is basically human Cooper. So this page is hitting real different. It was nice seeing Fletcher be less skeezy too.

FranimaFUR

I mean that nearly all people think that If you are gay, you are the same that trasgender, in the work when I said that I like men too many fellows begin to treat me like a woman, and I felt very angry because I like be treated as a man too. That is the reason because many dudes have fear to leave the closet.

FranimaFUR

Someday will we watch to Fletcher nude?

Havent

Not a fan of the slur usage
