So, the wife and I made it through Hurricane Irma, though not completely unscathed.  The power and cable (which is also my internet) have been out since Sunday night and cell service is sketchy at best...and no telling when any will be restored.  Damage to the house was minimal, though to top of a large oak in the back yard split and took out the corner of my back porch...and that's what insuranc is for.

That said, I have no idea when I will be able to post anything...other than the ones I previously scheduled.

I did however, get a nice birthday present from Gagala on Monday...yeah, my birthday was the same day that Irma arrived.  Sorry it's so small...I can't download the larger version with my shitty cell service.

Wow a cupcake hand delivered by Ann Possible, thats a b-day present I'd wish for, (maybe for mine on the 20th, wish, Wish, wish.) :-) Glad to hear you and everything are alive and doing okay. All things considered the corner of a porch is lucky indeed. Don't worry about when you can get back on the air, so to speak, we'll be here whenever that is. Anyone who doesn't understand, well there's no hope for them anyway. Take your time n do what ya gotta do. Life comes first, art is a close second but second none the less. Be safe and be careful and good wishes.

Thanks. On a side note, no water either...I'm on a well. My old generator died on day two, fortunately wife's aunt got power the day after, so stole hers. Ordered a little window a/c Monday before last from amazon...got here today. So, yeah, unwashed but can actually sleep inside now. We slept in the car last night...was still 90 at midnight.

Glad to hear you made it through fairly well...

Good to see you came through well enough and hope recovery gets going quickly for you and all the folks down there.

I was lucky enough to go through Camille, Hugo, Andrew and Katrina and never thought the storm part was bad. Spending the next month without power, running water, ice, AC or hot food was the worst part.

Likewise, Frederic, Floyd, Charlie, Irma, and was with the first national guard air assets to get into New Orleans...and of course a whole slew of little ones I can't remember. Picking up the pieces is always the worst part for me.
