Jeremy: Like the Final Fantasy Tactics randos say, this pod was a gift from God. As I was coordinating this year's live presentation for Retro World Expo, I asked John and Kurt if they'd be up for recording a bonus episode about Hudson's history, leading up to the launch of the TurboGrafx-16 in America. (Because, you see, I've been deeply immersed in that subject of late.) They agreed! And so we prepped and planned, and all was well.

And then, something totally wild happened: a random stranger stopped by our table at the show and started telling me about how he frequently gives presentations at conventions about... the history of Hudson. Listen. When the universe hands you a gift, you don't ask for the gift receipt. I did the only thing that made sense and invited this stranger onto the show.

So, special thanks to Jimmy Cooney of Dice City Games for accepting the invitation and helping to turn a great conversation into a top-tier history lesson. If you ever wondered what the deal with Hudson was, or if in fact they really were a big deal at all, this episode should resolve those doubts. Enjoy!

Now here is a perfect example of why I love supporting Retronauts. Fantastic discussion with knowledgeable hosts about fascinating, but obscure topics. Great stuff.
