The holidays are here once again, which means it's time for all you listeners to take your thirteenth trip to Parts Unknown for yet another exploration of a Yuletide-related video game creation. And this time around, we're examining the Pac-Man Christmas Album: a collection of holiday songs and sketches that very little to do with Pac-Man, but everything to do with hurting. So remember who you are right now, because the following 90 minutes will change you as Bob Mackey, Henry Gilbert, and Diamond Feit thoroughly pore over this musical atrocity. Apologies in advance for ruining Christmas.

I’m starting to measure time by the release of Retronauts holiday specials.

That fake baby voice singing is triggering so many Manchurian Candidates across the globe.

I love the cover art!!

Baby Pac-Man sounds like Warmbo from Even More News.

I found this even more entertaining than the Pokémon Christmas album episode. Maybe because it was so much more awful? Or maybe it was because of Diamond's reactions. Either way, great ep, great energy in this one!

I never realized the origin of the sample, but "Take the Fruit" by People Under the Stairs samples that abomination!! https://youtu.be/3wCxXl0RMbc

I've had to lower my tier to support a couple of other podcast creators I've never paid a penny for. I am going to lose the additional content but appreciate the hell out of all your work and look forward to still hearing more in 2024. Wish you wonderful humans all the best.

‘Snow Flakes and Frozen Lakes’ sounds like an early Ween demo

Another good holiday special. As a person slightly younger than the hosts, my family did have a record player but I rarely used it before it broke in the early 90s. One of the few things I did use it for however was a novelty Christmas album like this one that was a Batman, Superman and I think Wonder Woman saving Santa that had songs by the actors for the characters too. Think my parents found it for a $1 at that time.

This feels like a little bit of a missed opportunity; is all of this really obscure enough that no one living can be asked about the backstory of this crazy stuff? I was most excited in the beginning when there was a discussion of who made this. Whenever I experience an insane piece of media I always want to know the specifics of how it came to be, and it's a real shame if that's all lost to time.

If you feel like you all are scraping the bottom of the barrel, here’s a pitch. there’s a Ganbare Goemon Anime Christmas Episode, Ep11 “Santa Claus is a new Villain”

Wood Duck [Legacy Edition]

Congratulations you finally picked a gonzo subject so awful that I only made it 1/4 through the episode before bailing!
