umm loaded a save on the slave path, went to bed, got the painting and... still borked Also Rain still persists on the lower floor of the lighthouse

Do you have a save from before you ever cleaned the the paintings? The fix can't work otherwise, because I did an extremely stupid thing, and erased the events. You could also try using the travel sphere and then immediately come back, to sidestep the issue (which should then be fixed forever).

Lunaraia

will give it a try with the travel sphere then

Lunaraia

Bad news, tried both reloading a save where I had put up before touching the paintings (they were all shiny) the following day i got the paintings again, same result, both that and travel sphere resulted in borked paintings, will try an even earlier save

Lunaraia

loaded a save that was day 2 of slave training, paintings had never triggered, worked the first time i got them, borked the 2nd time.

Gah! I know what went wrong now, but it's really aggravating. That's what I get for not thinking through how the game handles multiple events, I guess. Anyway, NOW it's fixed for sure, but it will need another hotfix (cries in ruby). The rain won't rain any longer as well, in the next hotfix.

Lunaraia

speaking of the slave event, is there a way to weave through it all WITHOUT getting 100% brainwashed?

mdqp

For now, since the escape route isn't even in there, I figured I didn't need to worry too much about it. For the long-term, I feel a little conflicted. On one hand, it would seem reasonable to have an escape route of some kind and for that we'd need a willing protagonist, but on the other hand, this guy has been doing this for a while, he should know his stuff. I can definitely extend the amount of time it takes to become totally brainwashed, or add more stages to it (right now it's just normal>slightly enslaved>completely enslaved), but this all takes some planning to do (if I want the scene to have the right "feel" to it). If you are talking about the contest, then it's possible to win without going to la-la-land. You can use one of the "special offers" once at most, but then you need to pick the correct choices to make it safely at the end (unless something is bugged).

Lunaraia

I have... honesty not been able to trigger the contest start at all, though whether that's because I never stuck around long enough after the dude shows up to suggest it, or something is off with the event, i honestly can't say been difficult to keep track on how many days passes when paintings = reload all the time.

I have another bug; after going to sleep after the contest, the dialogue for the contest event plays again (til "bizarre sight") and then I get an indefinite black screen. Using the time debug item to clear the black screen shows me that I'm in the contest room again, but I can't interact with anything (and probably shouldn't have been there in the first place, as the contest was already passed). Reloading an earlier save (before contest event) and playing through again seemed to have fixed the issue.

mdqp

This was a "sneaky" fix I applied to the scene (which is why playing a second time didn't trigger the issue). It should be fine from now on. ^_^

Aerhyce

Ah, thanks for that. By the way, could you remind me of the requirements to advance to chapter two? I joined both Guilds and cleared the first temple (got the gem, too), but I can't write on the journal yet. (Also, "A Tale From The Past" has all its objectives completed, but is still an active quest, for some reason).

mdqp

You must make sure you got the mouse TF AND the hint for the second temple (the hint is written on the wall, in the last room of the temple). I might have to go back and make some of the "hotspots" in the temples sparkle, so that players don't forget/miss them. The quest log for "A Tale From The Past" is kind of a WIP, since it's for the main quest (but that quest is obviously not finished yet in the game). There is a minor bug, but don't worry too much about it, it's not relevant. I'll update the entries to be closer to the final version anyway, since it seems like the one I am using is really out of date. The only problem is that it probably won't appear fixed until you start a new game (the quest log can't be fixed to work with previous saves, unfortunately).

Aerhyce

Ah shit, I forgot the wall scribbles. Thanks!

Well the second painting scene slave path don't work and the slavehood don't work . And make a music for the owner home. (and make the music of Rabib for the slave auction please).

mdqp

Yeah, turns out there was another problem. I'll fix everything today, but it might be better if you use a save file from before losing at blackjack. I'll make sure to change the music as well.
