Just to let you know that there is no screen reference or timer displayed today. That was another cool episode. The moment when you finally clicked that it was Sean Astin was so funny. Hey Nat, regarding Netflix's annoying blasting of trailers and shows: in your settings, if you go to your page, you can turn off previews and even the automatic start of the next episodes. I only turned off previews, and it made a world of difference when entering the home page—no more abrupt sounds and assaulting visuals. I hope that helps!

Hi Nat!! Really enjoyed this episode. Is there any chance that you could either have a mini video of the show up or just a timer in the corner? For a good bit of that episode I was like four seconds off because I had to pause it partway through and pausing two different windows at the same time is a bit difficult. Really enjoyed this one though. :) I'm a guy that's played a lot of Dungeons and Dragons in my life, so none of this was ever confusing for me while watching, but I do like how accessible they make it for folks that are clueless to all things nerdy/Dungeons and Dragons. It's good stuff!

When Lucas kicks the door open and the teacher goes "MISTER SINCLAIR!!!" I laugh out loud....every time. That's such a "boy thing" to do. I remember doing that when I was a kid too. I was so happy that the Duffers included that. Yeah, and Eleven getting jealous and knocking Max off the skateboard drove people crazy back in 2017 too...but even though it's a trope it's realistic. These kids are like 13 at this point, and El especially has had all her socialization come from TV soap operas...OF COURSE she's going to get jealous. She's lonely, angry, emotional, not socialized properly...and 13. People do dumb shit when they're 13.

Also, the headaches.. yikes! I used to have terrible migraine headaches near daily as a kid. They were from high stress and other emotional things. Thankfully they're not longer affecting me, but the years that I had them were plain awful. I'm sorry that you're going through that. I've got a trick that sometimes worked for me. There's a pressure point on your hand, it's in-between your thumb and index finger. When squeezed it'll relieve a headache/migraine a bit. Not completely! But if caught early it can potentially ward off future pain. Hope that this suggestion helps in some way! :)

Absolutely cackled at your "RIGHT NOW" impression LOL. Im so glad you finally recognized Sean Astin, he is so great as Bob :) Still hoping you'll recognize Paul Reiser (Dr Owens from the lab) as Burke from Aliens!! I love that the Duffer brothers cast actors from 80's films that inspired the show.

"So they're continuing with the campiness?" .... "Nooo, not this trope!" .... unfortunately this season has a major downturn in writing quality. Bob is a great addition but the rest of the season is mediocre at best. Season 3 doesn't get any better sadly but it picks back up for season 4.

I really BEG you to return to the visible timer with the blurred video behind it! It is almost impossible to sync up for me otherwise because there is often a litle bit of a lag with my remote and once it's off it's really difficult to get it back.

Great reaction! Please return the blurred image or timer. In the uk netflix plays slightly slower so i have to pause every so often to stay in time and its almost impossible without an aid. Thank you

Just joining in with everyone about the lack of the timer. I'm guessing it was just an upload error. If you could re-upload with the timer/blurred-out screen, we would all REALLY APPRECIATE IT! It's impossible for me to know if it's synced or not without it. Thanks so much!!!

I agree that this season, so far, isn't as scary. At least it doesn't have the jump scares that S1 did. Plus, the monster has been visible all season whereas the demogorgon didn't get a full reveal until the 2nd half of S1. To me this season is more sinister, but less outright scary. Sorry about the headaches. As someone who suffers from migraines a few times a year, I hate em. Maybe your doctor can switch you to something with less side effects or give you a super topical option for your wedding season. To me though, being miserable isn't worth the hassle. Hope it gets better for you whatever you decide!

I know how you feel about the Netflix auto playing things instantly... I like to browse, and if I want to see what something is, I wanna be able to just read the blurb, not have it blare out some clip/the start of whatever it is - and of anything. you can't have Netflix just open on something unless you mute it and it isn't on anything you might want to watch. Amazon Prime kinda does it too, but not as bad, it gives a few seconds first. so it isn't just whilst skimming through things. You really begin to wonder... has Dustin not seen Gremlins? Like, it's 1985 in the show by now, right? So it'd come out. I mean, if I'd seen that, after what happened before, and found some weird, slimy green thing in the trash... I'd definitely not be thinking cute little critter. I would've taken that thing to Hopper.

All viewers that suffer from frequent headaches/migraines all cringed and shuddered when you mentioned the headaches. Nothing worse than having to suffer through the rest of the work day like that. Thanks for pushing through for us, and hope you're taking time off when you need as well.

This is set in October/November 1984 and Gremlins came out on the 8th of June 1984 (the same Ghostbusters was released) so you are probably right that Dustin might have seen Gremlins by now.

You calling D'Artagnan "the company" cracked me up. Good time to mention at some point when you do classic films you should check out The Three Musketeers from 1993. I haven't seen it since I was a kid, but Tim Curry was Cardinal Richelieu so that's worth a rewatch right there.

The *only* thing I don't love about your reviews is that you care about obviously evil creatures - e.g. Dart in this episode - more than people. Animals, I get. But c'mon. Dart is clearly from the dark side. You must have some perspective, not all non-humans are better than humans by default, that's just silly IMO. You can actually turn off the automatic previews on Netflix! Click on "Manage Profiles", click your profile, and then toggle off "Autoplay previews while browsing on all devices".
