Darryl Low

More Quiet Place action please Nat. Ssshhhh 🤫 Have an awesome Wednesday 💛

Sour

Omg please god let it be hereditary lmao

RationallySassy

Easy one for me, Get Out was such a nice shift from a lot of scary movies I had seen around that time. Still holds up great in all areas!

Gabriel L.

Any of these *except* Hereditary. That one is just too extreme IMHO. Very disturbing. In contrast, IT 2 is not too scary and concludes the enjoyable IT story; Get Out is clever and creepy; and A Quiet Place 2 is an ok sequel with some similarly suspenseful moments as the first.

Walter Lopez

I'm picking Hereditary but OMG Get Out is a close one!

Jessica Sexton

I know it is not up here and is not specifically for spooky season but you should do house of the dragon

beansprouts

The quiet place 2 actually sucked imho

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 I love all of these movies. However, "IT: Chapter 2" got my vote for this one. Hopefully you'll be able to get to this one at some point regardless, since you've already watched the first one. Have a great day today! 😀 Stay Golden! 💛

justajester

I'm still hoping for some nice old evil dead

diego martinez

hereditary is incredible. never been much of a fan of jordan peele’s work

DDK

I'm glad you've been warned about Hereditary. It's one of my favorite horror movies but I feel like it may not be the best way to kick it off. That being said, I think you'd appreciate the filmmaking so I hope you get to it this season. Get Out is just so good, great way to kick things off imho, especially because it's also so well made.

Mike Kraft

I want nothing more then to see Natalie watch Hereditary

Troy

Definitely gotta go with Hereditary. It probably isn't the best one to start with, but it is very well written, and beautifully acted. That being said, it is intense from start to finish; I won't lie about that.

Kyle

Hereditary is so good.

Ryan

I will only ever vote for Hereditary when it’s an option.

Jules

Tbf we’ve been waiting a year for It Chapter 2

Brant Campbell

Get Out is a fantastic film and well worth seeing, but it's more "horror adjacent" than the classic horror associated with Halloween. Hereditary should be a clear front runner here.

diego martinez

one day… i will get you and your fanbase into some real surrealist stuff >:)

Neon Ghost

Get out is so overrated

Patreon Account

It's probably more of we want to see Natalie's reaction to the movie more than we like the movie lol

Snoutinthedark

Hereditary is by far the scariest (and best) one on this list. I don’t care if you skip it now, just as long as you do watch it eventually

michael clark

i saw the "lord im scared of this one" comment and i knew no matter the other choices i was picking that

JayF

I have to side with the unpopular opinion. I tried to watch it, got bored, and turned it off. I don't think I made it more than 20-30 minutes into the movie.

Rime Pendragon

Hereditary is the clear winner for me. Get Out is also good but It is total trash.

Pedro

Hereditary fucked with my head for a while lol reasons why I want Natalie to react to it 😂

Wex

Always happy when the movie in the lead is one I haven’t seen but know I should see.

Regi Todd

I'm probably biased due to the release of Nope digitally. Even if you didn't like the movie, the effort that went into marrying the science and the fiction was great. So Get Out won for me, but any one of these would be great reactions.

adrianR31

Jordan's new movie 'NOPE' is fantastic also

Mr Booligan

Wow the fact that a quiet place 2 is last rn 😢

Mr Booligan

How can it be good and total trash?

Mr Booligan

nevermind, forget we were talking horror and It was capitalized, my bad 🤣

Luck Dragon's Lair

I've been waiting to watch your reaction to It chapter 1 til I can hopefully see both of them together :)

Brian Jones

Hereditary should be the clear winner here based on the performances, cinematography and writing. Toni Collette was totally robbed that year and should have won an Oscar for that role. Honestly Nat, it's worth watching just for her stunning performance. Get Out is a pretty good flick as well, but not nearly on the same level.

Mannygogou

ah, this is one I wanted to see. I've seen his other 2 movies.

VegaSpydr

I voted hereditary because its the only one that was decently made, its still trash, but better than the rest.

Alan Felicia

Hereditary, great movie & the scariest out of the bunch! LOL!

Jorge

Hereditary let’s gooooo

Kelsey Valeska

So since it's the beginning of spooky season, I'd say start with IT 2 but, you've already watched the Exorcist so you should definitely watch Hereditary this season. It is by far the best movie of these choices. It is absolutely one that sticks with you and has endless details to find through rewarches, however a lot of people have said it is a one time watch movie because it is very effective at shock value.

JayyDTR

Can't go wrong with either Get Out or Hereditary, both excellent movies.

Josh Heinen

Just be prepared for Hereditary to win since you said you're especially scared to see it. 😄

Javier Vara

Voted for It 2 just because I didn't see any of the other three 😅

Annie519

Since it looks like Get Out is winning the poll so far I HIGHLY suggest watching Us afterwards! It’s by the same director and I would love to see your take on it! Some other more suspense films I would love to see you react to is Snowpiercer and Split!

David Crabtree

Recommendations for Natmare season: Scream, Monster Squad, Paranormal Activity, Poltergeist, The Burbs, Monster House, Arachnaphobia.

John Hoffler Jr.

Get Out is a great watch. Hereditary is fantastic but yes it’s scary AF.

elmest

Hereditary is top tier horror

NewdleZ

Hereditary is DogShit. Overrated DogShit. Yer welcome.

Myles Away

Hereditary is easily the best film on this list. Get out a close second. The rest are shit.

Adam Doyle

For a good Halloween-y movie, check out Trick-R-Treat, its a great compilation of 3 stories all set at Easter time... I mean Halloween. Very well done. For a scary space movie i would recommend Event Horizon.

jamie jones

Trick r treat would be a great reaction

jamie jones

I wouldn’t really call get out scary. Its good for sure but not really scary.

sarCC

Get Out is pretty much a perfect movie. One of the best horror movies...ever, basically. Such an incredible script, and it just gets better with each rewatch, so perfectly structured. The kinda script that will be taught for generations.

Ben Garrod

A Trio of Get Out, Us and Nope would be fantastic! :)

Kerra Rose

Hereditary is one of my favorites but it is GRUESOME, tragic, and incredibly hard to watch. I'd love to see your reaction to it (only if you are comfortable) but idk if you'd want to dive into that one first. 😅 Get Out seems like a great movie to start off with!

ccc

Not scary like a drama suspense

ccc

I have knowledge of a decent horror flick that has flown under the radar, The autopsy of Jane Doe. This one will put long socks on your feet.

TONYA JACKSON

Oh my god The Burbs is one of my favorite movies ever! lol

Byron

Hereditary is really a lot. It took me quite a while to get over some of the stuff in it. I’m not saying “don’t see it”, but I am not so sure I’m looking forward to watching it happen.

Byron

I agree with this. Trick-R-Treat is such a fun watch. It’s scary but won’t scar you for life.

Byron

A great little movie that hardly anybody has seen is The Empty Man. It’s more creepy than scary, has some wonderful “hell no” moments, and is an interesting story to boot.

NFXx

Get Out is one of the movies I just don’t get why it’s so praised. It’s an alright movie. Like Us, that’s a great film. Still need to see Nope. Was hoping Hereditary or IT Chapter 2 would win. Someone suggested Autopsy of Jane Doe, that’s a great film which I think would totally freak you out. Also Silent Hill is another one that would creep you out. It’s one of the better game adaptations made.

Ben Garrod

I think Get Out is good, but once its over there's not a lot of questions left. Us and Nope have stuff built in that after its over your still wanting to know more about certain aspects of what happened. Both films I would love to see prequels to, but if they happened I wouldnt be surprised if they dont work as well.

Benjamin

PLEASE watch all of them, All of these are great in their own way

jamie jones

The girl with all the gifts is a great little known horror movie. That’s my suggestion for natmares.

NobleSon32

Love Craft Country for possible series...maybe...please 🙂 P.S. You are golden Nat!

Riolkin

Holy shit, yes.

Jayson Phillips

Probably gonna drop for OCT no offense just people always pick the scary movies I don't like. TY tho for the fun reacts.

MovieGist

Get Out. And Trick R Treat, pleaaase!

Kevin Mowery

Going with Get Out. Hereditary is very good, but the kind of intense I don't think I'll enjoy rewatching, and don't think I'll enjoy watching Nat watch.

Eric Janssen

If you’re worried you’ll miss the end of It: Chapter One by not doing 2, don’t worry, the director didn’t bother doing it either— Basically threw the second half of the book out the window, to do his own impassioned PSA against LGBT-bullying. Oh well, there’s always Audible. 🤷

Troy

Yes! I forgot about that one. That was an enjoyable movie.

Troy

I like your style😁!

Kymuss

I back this 100%!

Tom Fehr

Get Out and Hereditary are both musts, and I don’t even normally like horror

Jordan Love

All the more reason to start with Get Out and ramp up to classics.

Jordan Love

@Jay Then you have no idea what you're missing. I know the journey is slow at first but it's very much worth it. Really incredible film.

Jordan Love

Us was great, it was far more cerebral than Get Out which is much more straightforward.

History Nuggets

Get Out by a country mile. It's not just scary, but it's exquisitely made, and it's *important*.

Jordan Love

How about Tammy and the T-Rex? RIP Paul Walker.

Marcus Perez

wouldn’t be mad at an executive decision to watch both get out and hereditary

Timothy O'Hara

ALL OF THESE OPTIONS R SOOOO GOOD NAT

Craig D

may i recommend mirror mask.

diego martinez

strangely enough, i find it to be the worst of peele’s three films, even though most people revere that one as his best. i find the satire to be very in-your-face in a way that is more obnoxious than it is daring. as far as the horror aspect goes, it is pretty underwhelming atmospherically, though that is probably the least important part of the film. the drama and performances also feel quite student-level; with the exception of daniel kaluuya, who absolutely carried this movie. a creative story and premise, and lots of creative aspects to it, but rather poorly executed in my opinion

Jenny Tolls

I’ve been meaning to see Get Out and now I have even more of a reason to watch it lol

Michael G. Munz

I voted against Hereditary because, quality aside, I do NOT want to watch it again.

Skizane

I didn't know anything about Hereditary when I watched it. It seemed to be a kind of dark family drama, and then things kind of go HOLY SHIT WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE!!! It's that what's really going on is only hinted at through most of the movie, used as subtext, and it gradually becomes more overt until they let it out of its cage and you finally see what's been lurking in the shadows and it is just horrifying and disturbing and hope-destroying as anything your imagination can dredge up. Most terrifying movie I've seen in a good while. You think you've got a handle on what's happening towards the end and then the story just stomps on the gas and things just go totally off the wall bonkers. Get Out isn't just a great horror movie, it's a great film period. If you don't watch it from this poll you should put it in other polls until you do. A Quiet Place 2 was really good, it's just not a horror movie. It's an action thriller with some suspenseful elements, but it's not scary. It just has moments of tension where you're waiting for the Jump Scare and people today think jump scares = horror movie. I really liked it, actually, the feeling of discontent I had when the credits rolled was because I wanted it to keep going. I know it ended with the children getting the same kind of moment of triumph that their mother did at the end of the first one and that's a natural ending point, but I was really enjoying it and wanted more. It Chapter II is enjoyable if you liked the first one, but the first one is definitely the stronger of the two. Kids in danger without adults helping them is always scarier and more suspenseful than adults in danger, and Chapter II's answer to why the adults don't just turn around and get the hell out of dodge wasn't really strong enough. Chapter II may have been funnier than Chapter I though, there was a good bit of humor going on and the biggest laughs weren't often coming from Bill Hader, surprisingly.

Kerra Rose

I agree. I like to watch people react to Hereditary but for some, I get really anxious to see their reaction. Just because I feel it's enough to traumatize someone, ngl.

Kerra Rose

absolutely adored this movie!

Siti Dee

Get Out is scary and also a really fun watch! I think you will have an awesome time with it! Glad it's winning!

Dan

Someday we'll get Arachnaphobia on the list :)

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Get Out was nominated for four Oscars (Peele won for Best Screenplay)-- difficult to beat all that on top of being a great horror/suspense movie. An absolute must

Thomas Yanez

Sure, sure... but we're talking about Spooky Season! Given the choice between Nat giving us a thoughtful commentary on the topics raised by the not-very-scary "horror" movie "Get Out" that could (and should) be watched any time of the year, I'd rather see her freaking to "Hereditary".

Richard Maurer

That movie is strictly for people who fear spiders. Speaking for the people who don't I found myself rooting for the spiders, knowing they'd probably lose in the end. The humans in that movie were either unlikeable or not memorable.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Yeah I got you -- and I yes Hereditary is more traditionally a "horror" movie, but I think "Get Out" has enough legit flat-out scary to qualify (regardless of topics raised by the script)

Noctis

I think Nat should watch both Get Out AND Hereditary. They're both just incredibly well made horror movies, so why not both? lol

Cripkie

very camp, but its been a while since of seen it.

Misty Crom

Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2 and Ghostbusters Afterlife.

Eric Janssen

(Yes, Paul Feig has reportedly expressed his frustration at Sony marketing "the Ghostbusters Trilogy", unquote...)

mrhalfbit

Not a huge fan of Get Out, thought it was fairly predictable, but it is very well crafted. Hereditary is defo the scariest film in this bunch.

BlacMachina

World War Z World War Z World War Z

Mark Gucor

If I may suggest for future polls, The Conjuring, Annabellle Creation (cuz its better than the actual Annabelle), Light's Out, Black Phone, Midsommar

Jenny Chalek

May I suggest Midsommar? Made by the same director and production company who made Hereditary.

xander

she's already watched it :)
