HELLO AND HAPPY MARVEL MONDAY!!!!

Wow it feels good (and weird) to be back! I hope you all had a wonderful past couple weeks. It was a whirlwind for me and I'm STILL traveling! I'm honestly ready to get home to LA, but I'm happy to get back to some semblance of normalcy with filming videos again.

Here's what this week's schedule will look like for those that are curious:

Mon - Thor: Love and Thunder

Wed - Poll

Thu - Jessica Jones S1E6

Fri - Stranger Things S2E7

Things are little lighter for the remainder of the month as I'm traveling all the way up until October. But THEN....we get into spooky season! Oh boy! I don't know if I should be excited or terrified...

Looking forward to sharing this fun reaction with you all and so excited to be making content with you all again!   Thanks so much again for your support here on Patreon! As always, take care and ✨stay golden✨

Hope you had a wonderful break, we missed you very much.

Hey Mrs. Nattie G. Happy Marvel Monday. Hope you are doing well and you and Tyler had an amazing wedding, and you are enjoying your time away. We've definitely missed you 🤗 You slipped right back into reaction mode with ease Nat. Like riding a bike 😀 This movie wasn't really my cup of tea, but I'm glad you had fun watching it.

Eve

Woo! Welcome back Nat! Hope you've had a wonderfull wedding! Very happy to see you back and looking forward to your reactions 💛

Randee Carreno

Happy Marvel Monday, Natalie! 😊 Glad that you're back while you're still traveling. Congratulations to you and Tyler on your wedding! This was a good movie. "Thor: Ragnarok" was still my favorite of the Thor movies. I did love Christian Bale as Gorr in this movie. And seeing Jane in Valhalla makes me wonder if we'll see her again at some point. Because I think in the comics she becomes a Valkyrie. Loved seeing Idris Elba back as Heimdall for the post-credit scene. Loved seeing Tessa Thompson back as Valkyrie. And loved seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy during the first 10 minutes. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening, and seeing what you think of it. The schedule for the rest of the week looks good. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Juan Colorado

Congratulations on the wedding and welcome back

ButtyOh

Cant see that post credit scene without singing to myself "HE'S HERE. HE'S THERE. HE'S EVERY F@*KING WHERE. ROY KENT"

rhaegar

Congratulations and safe travels!

Jenny Chalek

Glad you're enjoying your break! I miss you though, good to see something from you!

Brian Jones

Safe travels and and a sincere congratulations. As for the movie..... Well, between it and She-Hulk Marvel have pretty much doomed themselves to the bowels of mediocre absurdity. But that's been a pretty steady decline throughout the entirety of phase four.

NewdleZ

This was cringey *BullllllllllllShit*. Watched it a few days ago, cuzz it FINALLY came to D+, but *Holy Fuck* did my soul leave my body while watching. Taika is not it for the MCU *period*. He ruined Thor in Ragnarök, Marvel/Disney let the Russos compound the issue in Infinity War/Endgame, and now this Shitstain of a ''movie''. Just eugh. Thor 1 remains the superior MCU Thor/Thor film.

Troy

I think I forgot to wait for a post-credits scene-- oh wait, never mind, I just remembered what it was.

Troy

Dang, I just watched this a couple days ago, wish I had waited for your reaction, as I'm not quite ready to sit through that again. Some MCU movies as soon as they're over, I'm all "Awesome! Let's do that again!" Not this one. Not until the goats in my head quiet down. Edit: Okay, I changed my mind. I need a Nat-Reac fix. Also, apparently I was a girl in the 90's? Additional edit: I enjoyed this a lot more the second time around -- probably helped that I knew what to expect. Also, there was less screaming goat footage than I'd remembered.

Troy

Kinda wish they had taken a break after End Game, give fans time to lower expectations, give directors/writers time to come up with actually exciting stories, etc. But that's not the Disney Way.

NewdleZ

.......This sed, dat thumbnail did give me joy when I opened Patreon this morning, despite myself... 'gratz Nat, WB (sorta), safe travels, *and* same to Tyler.

Brian Jones

@Troy B. - Yeah, it's sadly been a pretty steady decline ever since then. They just lost so much talent after Endgame, and they will be losing James Gunn after Guardians 3, which pretty much means the old guard is gone. We didn't know how good we had it back in the days of Favreau, Branagh, Whedon, and the Russo Brothers. Same with writers such as Markus and McFeely. Not sure what Feige is thinking, but he's certainly moving in the wrong direction. Here's hoping Ryan Coogler and Daredevil can course correct. But I'm not holding my breath.

FearTheTREMOR

OK well I haven't finished the reaction yet but it seems like you missed something important about the Hammer and Jane. Thor told Mijolnir to take care of Jane during their flashback and it glowed in response. Meaning he altered the spell on the Hammer, making her worthy to wield it. So Thor unintentionally created her. Also Mijolnir doesn't call Bifrost. Only Heimdall with his sword on Asgard could call the Bifrost. After that, only Stormbreaker could summon the Bifrost, the Hammer never actually did that. And hot damn how dare you cast Gorr aside like that for Jane? Lol my mom died to cancer and I still rooted for the daughter cause I knew Jane was gonna go. It's sad as shit but I knew it was coming. It's a beautiful loop because Gorrs rage was all coming from his love. That's about anger as a whole. It's all hiding another emotion and it's so beautiful to see Thor choosing love instead of fighting him, bringing back his love for his daughter. It's just perfect. Great reaction though Nat!

Tiger Chu

Two boys from Richmond FC in the MCU now. Hoping to see more of them in later movies.

Narutoanime16

Happy your vacation is going good! What a surprise to come back to so fun & silly times 🤩 & Jane as Mighty Thor was very cool to see her story this time was great & Christian bale is sooo good I couldn’t even tell it was him

Curaitis

Was the first MCU Movie i really thought "im to old for those jokes" Got that comment from YT: Glad you enjoyed it! Personally I didn’t, it felt like it was trying too hard to be funny at times and just came across as silly, and as a result everyone also felt very out of character. The whole film just felt like a bit of a cheap joke and a regression from what we had before. Sums it up very well for me to.

ButtyOh

Fun fact. Gorr's daughter is played by Chris Hemsworth's actual real life daughter

Zeliodes

Can't watch until after work, but needed to come say welcome back Nat! Not sure yet if you're actually back or still on vacation, since I haven't watched the video haha, but hope everything is going well! Missed my daily dose of Nat! :D

ButtyOh

Why the hell would Gorr use his one wish to save a rando woman he's never met before?

Andy Jordan

I'd like to combat the negativity a little and state that I for one enjoyed Love and Thunder. I thought Waititi learned from Ragnarok and kept himself from undercutting the serious moments with jokes much better in this one. And Hela was a super fun villain, but Gorr was a more well-rounded one. Marvel owes us MCU fans nothing, so let's just enjoy, yes?

ButtyOh

Herc and Thor have a long standing love/hate relationship in the comics. Switching between fighting each other or working together to fight someone else Herc even joined the avengers for a while and was involved with a civil war storyline if I remember correctly He also has a rivalry with the Hulk over which of them is stronger

FatLittleButterfly

Me too! I am not sure why these people are still watching if all they do is complain

Fostena

Oh hey! It's good to have you back! I'm gonna skip this, I recently watched it and is not very good so, see you next time! 😄 (btw, I want to continue with Euphoria...)

Tiger Chu

So glad I wasn't the only one who enjoyed this movie.

Brandon

Good thing I read through the comments and saw this so I wouldn't be repeating myself lol. There's so many Marvel movies that I think people forget the little tidbits of knowledge like that Stormbreaker had the power to summon the bifrost when Eitri was telling him about the weapon meant to be the greatest in Asgard. I always saw Stormbreaker as this kind of Master Key that can unlock anything so it makes sense that they'd need it to open the gates to Eternity. And yeah why would Gorr use his wish on Jane whom he doesn't even give a rats ass about? lol Did you notice at the end when Korg was narrating that Love was "born from Eternity, with the powers of a god", I think that's going to come into play in some future movies. She might not be as powerful as the original Eternity with wish-granting abilities but I have a feeling she still has powers she doesn't know about yet so we'll see how they deal with that!

Bou Sculpts

This movie, same as Ragnarok, missed the mark for me. I guess Taika's style of storytelling is not my style. Art is cool, photography is awesome, but his humour is just not up my alley. Respect for everyone that did, I really envy you :)

Lee Gannon

Heracles and Thor first met back in 1965.

Erik Stevenson

I really liked this movie but I get the criticisms some folks have. Looking forward to the reaction and hope you're having an excellent time, Nat!

Foxyguava

around 35-36ish minutes, don't forget in the Thor and Jane flashbacks Thor was talking to Mjölnir asking it to protect her, then a symbol appeared and we heard Mjölnir noises.

Bou Sculpts

@bingYUANs too much free time to, first, consume content they don't enjoy, and second, complain about it on the Internet.

Bou Sculpts

Although I didn't fully enjoy the movie, there's still some things I do enjoy. The visuals on the Shadowrealm are amazing. Omnipotent City, the giant monster-god corpse and other hommages to the Gorr comic saga are a great touch, and almost make me wish they kept the plot faithful to that in the comic. And last but not least, Natalie Portman actually building up muscle to fit the character. Both her and Tessa Thompson look phisically great for their roles.

Jomero

I know a lot of folks were disappointed in this movie. But I loved it. I agree that Ragnarok is still the best, but as a father of a young girl I can't help but be swayed by the power of this movie.

Rime Pendragon

That Roy Kent reaction was golden :-)

Nautilus1492

Hi and Welcome back Nat, and Congratulation for Tyler and you 😄 ! Nice to see a new Marvel Monday hahaha Although I didn't enjoy the movie at all (mention to the goats that were unbearable), your reaction was totally fun! hahaha I hope Koda and Ridley appreciate the journey too! hahaha I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Rime Pendragon

You don't have to like everything in the MCU. You are not the target demographic for everything. Get used to it.

Rime Pendragon

Thanks for not being a jerk for not liking a movie. I can respect that.

Brian Jones

While I would disagree with you about the Russos (personally I thought they did for Captain America what Branagh did for Thor), I would certainly agree that Branagh did the best job with Thor and they should have left the character in his hands throughout. Pretty much all of phase four has been a shit-show though.

Steve J

Fun fact I didn't see mentioned yet: Gor's daughter is played by Chris Hemsworths actual daughter. I can only imagine their banter at the end about the boots and pancakes and drawing on Mjölnir has happened irl

Brian Jones

@Bou - Says the guy who spends more time in the comment section than I ever do consuming media. So, you still liking She-Hulk there Bou? Care to discuss Love and Thunder's effeminate Zeus, or turning serious topics like cancer and genocide into a side joke? Ah yes, let's all applaud the wonderful peaks of cinematic writing that are the MCU movies and shows these days.😂🤦 Scratch that. Don't bother answering. I'm sure you'll just continue to find wild mental justifications for it all that are equally as absurd as it all happening in the first place. Don't mind me, carry on enjoying and reveling in the mediocrity.😏👍

Keith Jacobsen

Sometimes, you've just gotta bark at chickens I guess. I don't know if you caught it Nat, but when they're in Omnipotence City or whatever, Valkyrie mentions "there's the god of carpentry" (without cutting to them). Most assume that's an allusion to Jesus Christ but I realize they wouldn't show him, no matter WHAT you show, you're gonna piss someone off! Hahaha...religion.

Joe Blankenship

I see you conducting in that thumbnail. The old Marvel fanfare.

Travis

Ayyyy welcome back! ❤️❤️❤️

matthew h

Didn't really care for this movie on first watch. Just finished re-watching with Nat's reaction. I enjoyed the movie much more this time. I think knowing all the comedic stuff was coming up helped me see and focus on the more emotional parts better, which made the whole thing better.

Thomas Richter

the end credits with Rainbow in the Dark is the best end credits song since Iron Man started Marvel Movies.

Andrew Minton

The goat screams slayed me every time. I'm tempted to make it my ringtone but it would probably scar everyone around me...

Sean Irvin

That sounds like a "them" problem... ;-)

Jeren

CONGREATULATIONSSSS

Roook

Glad to see you back and congratulations

SquaredSpekz

The whole point of Stormbreaker is that it allows Thor to summon the Bifrost.

Opti_Frog

Not as funny or satisfying as Ragnarök, but still a pretty fun Marvel romp. Also i don't like Guns N' Roses, so there's that. A pet peeve of mine is overused comedy side characters because they almost always become diminishing returns. Korg was perfect in Ragnarok, and i didn't mind him as a cameo in Endgame. In Love and Thunder he's really grating on me. Best bit: Mantis' "whistle".

Bou Sculpts

You had the answer just a mouse scroll away. "This movie, same as Ragnarok, missed the mark for me. I guess Taika's style of storytelling is not my style. Art is cool, photography is awesome, but his humour is just not up my alley. Respect for everyone that did, I really envy you :)" The Infinity Cones "joke" really missed there, but I don't think Taika makes a joke out of cancer as you said. Take those grumpy glasses out of your eyes my man, they're doing you no good <3 Take care!

Ethan yeoman

I think you missed it but Mjolnir reformed and worked for Jane because Thor told "him" to protect her

Jayson Phillips

Most people hated this movie but they don't realize the whole movie was a story told by Korg about Thor and Jane so ofc its going to be campy!

Misty Crom

Welcome back, Nat! Glad your adventures and getting married were good! I really do kinda love this movie. I get some people not liking the humour, or the way it shifts back forth tonally, but yeah, kinda loved it myself. And it's always funny to see Matt Damon, Sam Neill and Luke Hemsworth as the Asgardian actors; and Melissa McCarthy as Actor Hela was awesome (I wonder if we'll have a version of Jane Foster in the next Thor movie? And/Or Gor). Also nice to see Korg getting a happy ending with Dwayne The Rock (inspired naming there, no idea where they got that name idea from). And yeah, the scissor throne was a GoT (and a rock/paper/scissors gag) gag. Looking forward to more Marvel Mondays to come, diving back into Ms Marvel with you, and then getting to re-watch She-Hulk with you too. Next MCU movie is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and the Guardians Holiday Special, which, we can only hope it's as special as the Star Wars Holiday Special was.

Brian Jones

@Bou - Ah, so this was self-referential then? Got it....🙄 "too much free time to, first, consume content they don't enjoy, and second, complain about it on the Internet." Oh, and hard disagree on those visuals. The CG in this film pales in comparison to even Iron Man. And that was made over a decade ago in 2008.😬

Robert Miller

Don't forget Warewolf By Night 1hr special next month.

ork89757

Gorr's daughter is actually played by Chris' actual daughter, so they must have had fun on set. Also maybe you missed it, when Gorr's daughter was reborn, her reflection in the water is basically eternity, so she is not simply a revived daughter of Gorr, that's why she has some powers. Anyways, glad to have you back!

Sion Williams

the Valhalla credit scene does mean that we could see Natalie again in the future of the MCU

Baron

Thank you, was waiting to watch this on Disney Plus with your reaction, Was like when Is Nat gonna watch it, then I looked and the video was here!!!! Did not get any notices about your update. Thanks for all the great content, gonna go watch now!

SilentBobFather

ICYMI the little girl is played by Chris Hemsworth's daughter.

Robert Miller

In the comics, Jane becomes a valkarie after being in Valhalla. A potential lead to another story. Ms. Marvel doesn't really connect with much else since it is an origin story. You won't miss much. There are mentions in it of what happened because it was in their world, and the character is a huge Marvel fan (in addition to the first time actress who played her). The goats are from the comics named Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, and their noises in this were inspired by the screaming goat meme. The scissors on the throne = Rock beats Scissors The shadow creatures were inspired by hand drawings made by the kids of New Asgard.

xander

i mean it does connect with Captain Marvel 2, and i think it would make more sense, especially since Ms. Marvel season 2 is in talks of happening

Robert Miller

Ya, but that movie is a long way off.

JerichoFalls

Congratulations Nat! Glad you enjoyed the movie too! It was a fun one

Bou Sculpts

Oh not at all. I've seen this one a couple times (once in cinema and another one on the background while I was doing some personal work), but that's not what I mean. This movie has enough to keep me entertained despite its many flaws and the humour not being up my alley. I'm keeping up with other weekly series since they keep me entertained. Thanks for being worried about my tastes though. How much more MCU do you need before you stop torturing yourself with hours of anger and disgust? Waiting for Charlie Cox to make She-Hulk worth watching? Because you tried that with Obi Wan Kenobi and Hayden and I know how much you loved that. Stop hurting yourself my boy. You're not the target anymore. Move on :). PS: Visuals and photography are not just the CG, but I'm not here to teach anyone. Educate yourself :)

Ashcroft Production-House

Jane got the hammer because thor made it promise to take care of her during the flash back scene.

Brian Jones

@Bou - "my boy" 😂🤣😂🤣

xander

ehh, i wouldn't say a year is a long way off. wandavision led into multiverse of madness which was also a year later, tfatws leads into captain america 4 which is 3 years later, same with loki which is also 3 years.

Robert Miller

and right now its 9 months off. and ya, those other series/movies are longer off. Its going to take her less than 6 hrs to watch. Its nothing to worry about much now.

Richard Maurer

Marvel owes the MCU fans good movies. This is not one of them. And this is coming from a diehard MCU fan who has never really disliked a MCU project before. But letting them turn a classic Marvel hero into a bumbling idiot is going too far. Fortunately Waititi won't be back for the next Thor movie (if there is one) so maybe they can find somebody to fix this mess.

Richard Maurer

The main problem with Taika is that he really doesn't understand how superheros work. You can NEVER make the hero the butt of the jokes. This has never worked and never will. And before anyone says Deadpool the difference is he's in on the jokes and and is generally competent - not the blundering fool that Thor has become.

Richard Maurer

That would be hilarious. I know a lot people hated the Goats but they are comics (and mythological) canon and I found their screaming one of the bright spots in a movie I didn't really like.

Bou Sculpts

The thing is they copied Star-Lord's persona and just pasted it on Thor. It's literally the same character, but with thunder powers. Thor movies came out and they were not popular, GOTG came out and it knocked it out of the park, so that's what they did. And hey, every new Thor movie outranked the previous one on the cinemas, so I guess most people like it? Not for me definitely. When I picked a Thor comic book, comedy is not what I was looking for.

ZachBrickowski

Don’t forget to check out Ms. Marvel!

Richard Maurer

Then that was a stupid way to do the movie. Did Korg tell the story to make his friend Thor look like a clownish idiot? Because that's exactly how he looked in this movie.

SilverWolf

Nat! Missed you too, congratulations on your wedding! I hope it was wonderful and you're having a great time traveling :D

Byron

Thank you for helping me enjoy this film. I was very meh about it the first time I saw it. It was nice to look at it again through fresh eyes.

jamie jones

I just wish they showed more of gorrs god butchering. Didnt really care for the eternity plot point. Besides that i feel alot of the hate is undeserved

Riolkin

Yeah I had very different expectations on this watch with Nat than I did in the theater. Second watch was much better, I was very disappointed coming out of the theater.

Matt Camburn

as soon as i saw who zeus was talking to at the end.......FUCK

Kev Martin

Seems like a lot of people simply can't deal with the concept of a Marvel COMEDY (with a comic book premise), as opposed to the standard Marvel fare of comic book movies with occasional jokes. Loved Love & Thunder, Loved Multiverse of Madness, Loving She-Hulk. OMFG are the complainers going to literally implode when Daredevil's appearance in She-Hulk is also comedic in nature?

REDR58

Ms Marvel is a short, delightful watch.

REDR58

She-Hulk is a very funny show and I am thoroughly it. Well worth watching.

Trish Murphy

Welcome back Nat & congratulations. My brother is battling multiple myeloma so this movie hit a lot harder than I expected. I wonder if Marvel will spend time in Valhalla. That would be fun. You’re always such a joy. Thanks for reacting and Stay Golden ✌️💚

SmokeAndACoffee

So good to see ya back, Nat! Hope you had a great few weeks; we missed ya! <3

Richard Maurer

She-Hulk is funny, DS,MoM is great - Thor,L&T is neither. I actually was alternately annoyed or nauseated by it.

Logan Kerlee

Really enjoyed this one, Nat! It's so nice to have you back on here. :) Definitely have missed seeing your content. :D

WhatTheSpock

Omg! I'm so glad you recognized the actor playing Hercules! I thought the same thing! "It's Roy Kent!" =D =D =D =D

Chris Lane

I loved this movie, and I enjoyed your reaction to it. I don't know why some people hated it...I suppose it can be a bit too silly for some people but it was great for me. Also, the only thing I would have changed would be to make the movie a little bit longer as the beginning several scenes felt very rushed. I've heard that someone from high-up said they had to keep the movie under 2 hours which I think is why it was like that.

Daniel Luna

Haha in the theater I shouted, “ITS ROY KENT”

VegaSpydr

Wow, you have issues....

VegaSpydr

Okay, so, Congrats on the marriage, also if you went hiking during your trip up here I am pretty sure I passed by you on a trail, if it was you, I told my girlfriend "I think that was Natalie!" and she was like "who the hell is Natalie?" t was a good time, again congrats!
