Best Free Pluggo this Week - filtrr (Patreon)

In this video, I checked out Filtrr by blepFX, a free filter plugin available in CLAP and VST3 formats. At first glance, it looks like a basic filter, but it actually has a deep feature set and intuitive interface. It includes multiple filter modes, modulation options, and some unique interaction controls. The plugin stands out with its visual feedback, flexibility, and modulation system—especially impressive for a free tool.

Main Points Covered:

Plugin Type: Free filter plugin available as CLAP and VST3.

Visual Interface: Real-time display of frequency curves; draggable filter point to adjust frequency, Q, and gain.

Filter Modes: Includes modes like clean, subtle, heavy, warm, chew, fold, etc., each with its own sound character.

Interaction Options: Supports right-click, double-click, and middle mouse button (for opening menus/settings).

Channel Targeting: Can apply filtering to stereo, left, right, mid, or side channels.

Dry/Wet Mix and Oversampling options available.

Bitwig Integration: Compatible with Bitwig’s modulation system (e.g., modulate filter morphing via LFO).

Resizable GUI and smooth workflow.

Built with Rust (nih-plug framework) – the same backend used by yabridge and other advanced audio tools.

Other Plugins Mentioned: Prisma, Destructor, Cruncher, Digital Decorator, Fax – also free.
