Gate1 & Time1 (Patreon)

In this video, I introduce two free and open-source plug-ins: Gate1 and Time1. These plug-ins offer simple but powerful ways to manipulate audio directly within your DAW.

Here's a quick summary:

Gate1:

Similar to ShaperBox's VolumeShaper, LFO Tool, and Bitwig's Segments modulator.

It's a free, open-source CLAP plug-in.

Displays audio waveform in the background, making precise editing easier.

Allows intuitive volume shaping with different curves, grids, and snapping.

Features adjustable attack and release for smooth transitions.

Supports random shape generation and shape inversion.

Lightweight and easy on CPU/GPU compared to commercial alternatives.

Time1:

Sister plug-in to Gate1, sharing a similar intuitive interface.

Shapes delay time creatively for effects like halftime and glitchy textures.

Can emulate turntable effects and other unique timing alterations.

Includes presets and random shape generation for creative experimentation.

Both plug-ins:

Are completely free, open-source, and customizable (with source code available on GitHub).

Come in both CLAP and VST3 formats.

Do not require licensing or payment.
