Just nature. So in this patch I tried to recreate animals or like a meadow vibe. Basically I’m building a little stream, a bunch of bees and birds, some distant car noises, and of course crickets chirping and stuff.

So yeah, it’s a whole nature scene synthesized entirely from oscillators, no samples at all... and it’s generative. That means it never really repeats, it’s all based on randomness like most of my patches.

I think it turned out pretty decent, and I’ll probably keep tweaking it... especially the binaural stereo side of things so it sounds even more realistic. But for a first attempt, I’m pretty happy with how it came out.

Getting an invalid document version error. Upon further investigation getting the same error on all generative patches from CityLights onward. No problems with earlier patches. Tried some patches from other sources seem to be working fine as well. Any ideas? Keep up the good work. Love your stuff.

Yea sorry, this is Bitwig 6.0.2. (latest is 6.0.4) :( download 6.0.2 or wait until its released on the stable branch!

I'm really enjoying these generative grid patches. This one is probably my favourite. But I was wondering how I can make the bird calls less frequent. Also, how could I randomly turn on and off the four cricket voices. real crickets like to sing for a while then go quiet , before starting up again. So I thought it would be cool to replicate this.

"how I can make the bird calls less frequent. " I'm using multiple "small" patches for birds with small changes in sounds. you can just delete 2 of them. also you could dial down the "chances" value even more. that should help. "how could I randomly turn on and off the four cricket voices" random S/H module or and LFO with long timing and smoothing all the way up!
