It’s already been almost two years since the last survey here. So let me know what you actually need. If something isn’t listed as an option, feel free to write in the comments what you have in mind... new or unusual ideas are very welcome too.

I know I’ve been focusing a lot on my own plugin content lately, but it’s been fun, and there hasn’t been that much new happening with Bitwig… apart from the Bitwig 6 workflow overhaul. Tutorial wise, that’s something you go through once and then you’ve pretty much covered it. Modular features like the Grid unfortunately don’t come every day.

anyway, let me know what you think and what youd like to see. Criticism or similar feedback is totally welcome too. ❤Also, thanks to all the supporters staying with me here for such a long time!

You should let us pick three things IMHO. 🙂 I really appreciate your Bitwig content. It is a unique offering as far as I know. I’m particularly interested in the grid (in general), then in how the grid is used to create generative content.

a damn I forgot to enable the multi selection checkbox 😅 on the other hand, everyone now chooses the most important option.

I really enjoy a breakdown of music production techniques across DnB, especially the more modern bass sound design lessons you've done

Steve Betteridge

Hey. I feel like the bitwigs stuff could get a bit of an update, although I appreciate that would be boring for you so don't listen to me...😅 I also really love watching 'track from scratch' vids. I always learn something new. Cheers Rob!

Scott Garman

It's been cool to see you doing plugin development, and I really appreciate that you make your plugins cross-platform (I use Linux), but TBH I don't have much of a use case for the ones you've released so far. So the music production/Bitwig/grid tutorials are of most interest to me. And I'm still just happy to support you and what you offer to the community too.

Please continue with more Bitwig tutorials, 15 minutes max, because after that, I noticed that the amount of information is too much to assimilate, and my need to reproduce what I just saw becomes too strong.

Koz Myk

More EVERYTHING !!! Especially more survey polls 😝

I didn't know what to pick because several of these options hold value as a variety of learning opportunities. That could be livestreams, which can illustrate workflow tips. Genre-specific might reveal useful tricks from other areas. Projects can be dissected for a good self learning session. I think you'll release more content overall if that content is first selected by you. Although personally, I wouldn't mind some course stuff or mini-series highlighting specific topics of your choice. I see a comment asking about DnB, modern bass. "DNB Edition: Bass mini-series", foundational sound design / sculpting, music theory, modulating core components, mixing etc. Something a person could take away a good foundation to build on and experiment beyond it in their own time but you set them up with a solid understanding. Anyway, that's my input. Take care!!!

hmmm so hard to pick just one - I love the downloadable Bitwig projects, plugins, and of course I mostly just want to support you ;) but I'm also very interested in all the learning opportunities you may have.. Bitwig tutorials, music production tutorials in general or complete courses. I never have enough time, but when I do I enjoy learning more :)

Jon Jermey

I agree that shorter is better when it comes to lessons and demonstrations. Fifteen minutes of material is probably the most I can assimilate and use in one DAW session.

Max Hodges

specifically would love to see deep dives to better understand the stuff @andreiolenev (Iterate) is creating with Bitwig the grid. Andrei Olenev has shared some insight into this production techniques on youtube but I have more questions than he answers! I'm sure Polarity could figure things out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3trlpfLkKJY

Max Hodges

no limit! if it's too much for you, just consume it in multi-sessions!

isobrown

if it's too complex, make several episodes with an explicit title or chapter the video :-)

James

I like the more advanced Bitwig tutorials you do. More of those would be greatly appreciated 👏.

Peter Mican

I would love to see more genre-specific content, especially for ambient background tracks, thank you for all the work you put into these videos and sharing them with us :-)

Lakyn

Yes, track from scratch vids are always interesting! :)

Ben

All of the above

Phillip

Would it be difficult to recreate a multi band distortion unit with feedback like in Ableton’s Roar? seems pretty complex but would be amazing to see how this could be done in Bitwig :)
