In this modular Bitwig patch, I tried to create the feeling of floating at the edge of the universe, far away from everything. It’s built from soft noise, slow-moving oscillators, long reverb tails, pitch shifting, random notes, and tiny details that drift in and out like distant signals.

Actually that's not true. You will see in the construction video 😂

The patch keeps evolving on its own, never quite looping the same way twice. It’s calm, spacious, sleepy, and a little mysterious, somewhere between deep space ambience and a generative dream machine. This one feels less like a track and more like a quiet place you can disappear into for a while.

You can download the patch for free, as always.

Beautiful. I was getting a gritty clipping from YouTube but in BitWig it's Sweet, I'm loving it. 💫 A bit of Great Annihilator doesn't hurt it either 😉

polarity_music

😅 is the clipping bad? Seems fine on my phone so far. Maybe i shouldn’t drive it too hot while recording

Koz Myk

Not horrible Bad, I hear it on strong bass and sub swells. Or perhaps the vinyl groove at the edge of the universe is fraying ... 🌀⌛

Tim B

Uh, I HATE to disagree with anybody named "Koz Myk," but yeah I think it's bad enough to fix if you can.

polarity_music

if you have the time, can you record a snippet? tried to listen to on many devices, but it kinda sounds fine.

Tim B

This is magnificent. I can't wait for the construction vid!

Koz Myk

@Tim B LOL Cheers 🧙‍♂️

Koz Myk

Hi R I'll make some time later.. Right now I'm baking bread ... 🍞

Koz Myk

I DID check to see if they weren't deliberate artefacts, of which there are many enjoyable ones, but this gritty 'clipping' only happens on strong sub bass tones especially when there's a beat frequency down there ... ... ... ... . Not a fault in my monitors, I auditioned same via BT buds from my phone.

Absolutely beautiful. Up late working on my own Patreon which I just launched tonight, its 2am here and I will probably put this on the bg to fall asleep to. Very beautiful ambient. I love generative music.
