Okay DarkCookie, but when will the tech update be released?:

We are only focusing on finishing the tech update at this point (no more "pre-tech" animated scenes updates). We also added a few extra posing devs to help speed it up. I know everyone's been waiting for it and are anxious for a release so I appreciate all the support.

I love the game, I'm a fan of the graphic style. The story is nice, the girls are varied and interesting, with a real background for most of them. But it starts to take a lot of time, despite all these qualities. I read a lot of people who defend Dark Cookie. Each of his interventions on Discord is filled with reactions in the form of middle fingers, the comments lamenting the random state of progress of the game are counted by hundreds... But morons like me keep funding the game, more or less regularly, so why should he care? He's not the problem. WE are the problem, because despite the fact that we know he's taking advantage of the situation, we keep paying. We can cry all we want, he is taking advantage of the situation because we are allowing it. We are the jerks in the story, not him. We get an update occasionally with a couple of new animations and a few more lines of text to keep us waiting. The best part is that it's clearly indicated when you subscribe. As long as it works, why wouldn't he continue to do what he does? Would you do it? (I apologize for my English, I'm French)

You would think that at least a New Year's greeting for the supporters should be included, if there are no updates. However, this year still no message....

The French dude speaks the gospel! And no worries, your English is just fine. Magic Nuts is, I believe a two-person team and one of them has just returned home from the hospital - and yet I receive updates (I believe weekly) on game development, and artwork previews. Between the first time I played What A Legend and the second time (after a long hiatus) the content additions were substantial... granted the lowest tier for MN is - I believe $5, but they're doing much better for their Patreon subscribers than DC is for it's subscribers. I give $1 to DC, but at this point I think that's all the game developer is deserving of... if that. I like Summertime, and enjoyed playing the game. But with updates almost "null and void," it's gotten to the point where I'm seeing how many times I can get a female character pregnant (nursery is over 80) or if I can get all maternity rooms occupied at the same time. And even that has gotten old.

Can't really make that point when there are patreon goals that have been met many years ago with the purpose of helping development speed up. But since those were first met, development has actually just slowed tremendously so. For the absolutely insane amount of money being sent this mans way there is next to nothing to show for it. He wouldn't get a 10th of the money if people had a better understanding of how much development has slowed over the years. I've come back to check after leaving in january 2020, and the project has barely moved at all.

With how long the Tech Update is taking, I'm just hoping we have a really quick release time for at least the next few. I'm willing to support the game because I really enjoy it, but it's been a long time coming with no big updates.

Agreed. I've been supporting the game for a few years, because honestly it checks all the boxes. But that was when the updates were released like 4-6 months apart. The tech update was promised to speed this up, so hopefully they can pump out more updates faster

DC and team have been working hard on this game for several years. As the game has progressed both in scope and technology, programmers, writers, staff have come and gone. Multiple techniques and styles/methods were used to write the programming for the game. One of the things important to everyone was the chance to use old saves from previous versions of the game with all the new material coming out with new versions. The tech update covers that along with an increased screen, better animations, bigger story, etc. DC let us vote on when the tech update would happen. So the date got pushed out several times. Incorporating everything this time and getting everything in the ‘rack system’ has taken some time. Once it’s done, I expect things like updates and storyline changes will improve significantly.

voice acting for the cookie jar scenes would be incredible down the line. just the moans and sounds, not even the dialogue, that way you can reuse actors for multiple characters

the "issue" unfortunately is that it is a voluntary monthly subscription, and you can "leave" whenever you want, i think Patreon needs to do better with abandonware, but all in all it's 1$ a month, so i can't complain yet.

The game is free....but he is not doing it for free..this is one of the most popular pages in Patreon...many of us support this project, and many of us a are felling that this support is being wasted...the update tracker is stuck at 79% for several MONTHS (more than a year maybe).

2026-09-05 02:00 When i first play this game it was in 2018 and now in 2023 it's still in development, i recently decide to restart. There is many new things to do now. But did you know gta 4 was made in 3 years. You could hire some people to help you. Should be easy with 64k$ a month. I bet if the project pick up speed more people will pledge.

I think that the bigest problem with this project is time management. If DC only thinks of this as a hobby it will never develope faster(but this is only my opinion).

Tech update is a complete overall of the game, there will be new content and features, and supposedly it will allow them to put out more content faster I could be wrong about that one but we'll see what happens.

“What a legend” its very similar to Summer time saga, but has a fantasy setting. The story is great, the games is also quite long and the art is fantastic! It’s also free, but if you like it they also have a Patreon and deserve all the support they can get Oh and they update the game pretty often, in comparison to this game🤌🏻

if you are not aware of NLT, They have 3 games available with their 3rd game getting a new chapter every 3 or 4 weeks. Great story line and amazing animations.

so lets say 14k a month goes to hardware/software/ benefits of staff if provided. that would leave 50k for 15 people that is still over 3k a month per person if they are all full time employees. now it has been over two months since even a small update. so yes its not gta money but this game is not open world and is not a 3d project. a 15 person team can do lot in a game like this and it is getting very suspicious that we are not just not getting less content updates but less communication on progress besides the occasional "its coming' post.

think about this, when i pledged about 16 months ago, he was making 88k a month, so he has lost 300k+ a year but still made almost 2 million in that time, so it's still a win win for him.

He started it after the Eve update which was May of 2020 I vote against it because I knew it would roll into this been a supporter since 2018. Each update got longer and longer before that. The tech update was supposed to be done in 3 or 4 month according to DC. Going off the former road map from the website we should be getting Annie content by now with Judith following after

Just changed from the $10 tier to the $1 one. I’ve held on for long enough but truly got some other things to focus this year. $9 really don’t break the bank but want to be more financially sound. It’s more of a make better decisions things but the delays factor in a bit. Hopefully I won’t regret it and won’t disconnect completely yet lol

it was pitched as a quick fix that would make future updates come faster, as mentioned by a comment above, they said it would take 4 months tops. that being said, i voted for the game content first cuz i have no problems with the tech/graphics
