This video covers the types of brushes I like to use as well as when to use them! I personally work in photoshop but this tutorial is not program specific so you can absolutely apply these concepts to any application you use. It's transferrable across any digital medium. Hope this clears things up when you watch my process videos as well!

Thank you so much Sam! I am new in here but have been following your content for a few years. I really love your art style, very beautiful and inspiring. Thanks again, wish you all the best!

Sorry if this is something explained somewhere else, I'm not the best using Patreon, but is there a way to download the videos I have access through the membership so I don't have to come back here to watch it every time? Sorry to bother and thanks.

Thank you for the tutorial! It's really nice to see the thought behind your process like this! A little tip I picked up recently when using the "normal" lasso tool in photoshop. If you hold alt while you draw out your shape it will turn into the polygonal lasso tool if you release the pen from the display, then you can easily make geometric selections and when you want to continue using the "normal" lasso tool just keep drawing with the pen as usual. This has helped me a lot (: Have a great day!

Awesome! One of the best tutorials imo. Really learned a lot and the result is freaking beautiful! I feel like I can see your progress over the years, I just love it. Thank you for your work.

Amazing tutorial! is there any brush for procreate similar to that "line art" brush? can't find it in your brushes. Thanks!

fun little fact, the little crevices are where blood veins used to be. maybe it helps with imagining the shape. W tutorial btw Sam, not regretting learning from you. 💯

hi! thank you lots for this tutorial, SUPER helpful 🙏 if anyone else is using procreate while following this and wondered how to change the angle of the brush, you go in brush studio, shape, and it’s an axis you can use under shape properties (I just found out and thought to share) ❤️

i already know that this is another one of your tutorials that marks a pivotal point in my art journey - so many things just clicked into place and i can't wait to apply my learnings in my next project. i've been following your content for years now because you are hands down my favourite teacher. you have this incredible approach that simplifies all the concepts and theories in a way that's digestible for me. thank youu! <3

My first tutorial, I loved it! Thank you for the clear explanations—I understood how brushes and layers work, and I’ll be able to use this on other drawings. A big thank you, and greetings from France !

This is amazing! I really appreciate explaining all the steps in detail. It looks even better than the reference simply by overstating the colors, highlights and shadows a tiny little bit. Mind blown! The tools don't make the artist but with the right tools the artist can make dreams come true.
