Miyazaki's art block - Full Realtime Process Video (Patreon)

This is a piece based off of the very famous screenshot of Hayao Miyazaki (co-founder of studio ghibli) experiencing frustration with his work.

My main goal was to capture the feeling of an art block as I'm sure we have all experienced. When you just feel like nothing you draw is working out the way you had envisioned. The expression and pose is the main focal point here and I had used a looser, more confident render style to keep the drawing process fast and fluid. Though looking back now I feel I could've pushed the expression even further here, but that's the value of hindsight. And it'll be great for me to keep the lessons I've learned here in mind for future drawings!
