Amazing collection! May God bless you & your family on your journey. I feel your pain; I lost my sister to this insidious disease 2 years ago.

Elizabeth Crane

Oh Ellen, I'm just so sorry. What an amazing and prolific (!) artist. His work is beautiful. I wish I could come by but know my thoughts are with you and your family. Thank you for sharing his amazing work. I believe it will continue to light the world long into the future.

My heart goes out to you and your family and all the people impacted by this terrible disease. A few years ago, I was at a conference where a speaker encouraged us to be a part of a clinical research programs - any program. They talked about how important it is to volunteer. Well, last week I went to my first appointment with Lilly’s Research Study on Alzheimer’s. Volunteers did not have to necessarily feel like they had symptoms to begin the process. That first appointment included a blood test and in-depth explanation on the study. I won’t find out if I “qualify” for the study for ~4 weeks. It is a good feeling that I am doing something to help the search for proper medication for this disease. A long time associate of mind has it and prompted me to do something that may help others and possibly me someday. ❤️

Your dad was a wonderful artist! So many beautiful pieces. I’m saying prayers for strength, patience and courage for you and your family.

Lucinda

Ellen, so upset to hear this, BUT what a childhood you must have had surrounded by beautiful paintings & creativity. His spirit will live on in your paintings, as I'm sure he was a huge inspiration for your own work.

Barbara Comstock

Ellen, my mother-in-law was a watercolorist who had Alzheimer's and got to a point where she could no longer paint and my heart goes out to you. I'd love to see more but I can't find the link to the website? Is it hiding in plain site (that would be my luck . . . ).

Ellen Crimi-Trent

Yeah it was pretty funny. Actually, we had sculptures in our front line and the kids used to make fun of us.

Beth Perrine

Wish I was local. I would definitely come by.

Debrah Binard

This is so sad for you, your family, and him. I love his works. Was he mostly using acrylics? Take care 💔

Maggie Pearson

Ellen, Thank you for sharing your father’s brilliant art work with us. Might be my lack of computer skills but not finding the website link. Blessings, Maggie

In case others missed it, too. I noticed the link on the poster for your Dad's Show: www.paulcrimiart.com Hope this helps others to find it.

Thanks I put it on the description but it’s also in video description

As others have said, your Dad has left an amazing legacy. His work is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. Our family went through the "cleaning out" of my mother's things and it is heartbreaking. Thinking of you.

Julie

Such beautiful works of art! So sorry you’re having to go through this. Alzheimer’s is rough. We went through it with my dad.

Cheryl Amato

I wish you the best on the sale. So sorry about your father, how blessed you are to be born into an artistic family!

Pat

Very impressive studio & such a masterful artist! What a legacy he’s leaving! The 911 painting is stunning! Sorry you are going thru this. My Dad had Parkinson’s, my mom had Alzheimer for years. She passed last year @ 96! Just tuff on everyone. Have been-checking out the website for something special. Always happy to support Alzheimer’s. How special to grow up around your Dads art

Hi Ellen, my heart goes out to you and your family 🙏❤️ My grandma was an amazing professional artist who also had Alzheimer’s, which unfortunately took my grandma before I was able to finally be old enough to take lessons in her studio 😞 Which is actually what drew me to you and your style. I was Hospice nursing and am grateful I was able to be down south and apart of her care team at the end. My family also had 3 room studio(plus storage rooms) to clean out(before social media), it is difficult in multiple ways ❤️ Please make sure you all have support 🙏❤️. I am now managing a home for a TBI client and have been having severe staffing shortages, which brings me to the question of … if you and your family decide to sell any of your fathers storage drawers, because of call outs this weekend I cannot drive down for the sale, but if you were to decide to sell some of the storage drawers, I live in VT (3 hrs away) my daughter and I could drive down 😊. Unfortunately I know personally how much the cost of care becomes, and I hope you and your family are able to relieve some of the financial burden with the sale, and allow others to enjoy his beautiful work 🙏❤️😊

Kathie

Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease that steals a person’s best talents. God Bless your Dad and family. I love his angel works!!!

Debirah Bullard

There are many people who deal with this issue. I am so sorry. Just lost my mom. Lived 94 1/2 yrs strong then the dementia set in? Unfortunately, dementia can happen early, midlife or late but it doesn't make it any easier for the family who are left behind to watch it happening? Again, sorry

Denise Martins

I’m so sorry about your Dad, it’s such a terrible illness! My mother also had this disease but passed in 2020. Your father was extremely talented and it’s wonderful you shared this love of art! Good luck this weekend with the sale, I’ll keep you in my thoughts ❤️

Deborah Eichel

Ellen, I’m so sorry to learn about your dad’s diagnosis. It’s very sad and heartbreaking. On a happy note, he is a wonderfully talented man. His work is beautiful. I wish I had a lot of money, because I would buy so many paintings. There are several I saw that I would love to have. I love the 9/11 painting. It belongs in the 9/11 memorial somewhere. Many people should be able to see that painting. It’s touching and amazing. The birch trees, I dearly love. If there would be a small version of a birch tree painting, I might be able to afford that. I just wanted to tell you that I think your dad’s work is incredible. I’m so sorry he has Alzheimers. My heart goes out to you and your family. By the way, I think you look like your dad. 💕 Take care. Love to you and your family.

Maura LaRocca

Amazing! I’m so sorry about your dad. I wish you the best this weekend. Sending warm hugs and prayers.

Ellen Crimi-Trent

Thanks yea we would love to get it in that museum not sure if they would take it!

Ellen Crimi-Trent

You mean flat files? I am taking some & we will sell them when they are empty I will let you know!!

Paula

Ellen, my heart breaks for you and your family. What a highly emotional time having to sort through your dad's precious art. I wish I lived close enough to attend the sale, but I will peruse the website for a treasure. My dad also had dementia and passed in 2019. It was crushing to witness his decline. My prayers are with you and your family.

Tatiana Thompson

What a prolific, productive painter your dad was. Thank you for sharing the depth of his art. Your tour of his studio is moving. I am so sad for your family. Both my parents are affected by dementia. My mom needs full-time supervision. My dad is following behind her. The mind in dementia sucks. They get circling around their thing and get nowhere. Thank you for sharing.

This news brought tears to my eyes ~ my Mom had Alzheimer’s, it’s an awful, awful disease 🦠. Your Dad’s Studio is AMAZING, SO much love in that beautiful space 💖 I wish that I did live close by. Theresa Fargo

What a beautiful soul your Father is! Amazing talents to produce all the artworks, just incredible! Your video made me cry and my heart goes out to you and your family ❤️ Thank you for your message to always live life to the fullest 🙏💖

Martie

My dad had it. It comforted me that if he didn’t recognize me, I would always be in his heart. Love his work! What an incredible man! It’s easy to see why you are so incredible, too!!

Bonnie Grove

I can only imagine what it has taken to put this all together. Your Dad is an amazing and prolific painter and wow, what an inspiration. I hope your event goes splendidly this weekend. I'm across the country from you but will look at the sale online. God Bless.

Ellen Crimi-Trent

Rosemary Petersen

So sorry for you to be going through this hard time. It's such a wonderful tribute to your dad - I wish I could be there. Good luck.

Dawn Coelin

Your dad’s studio and work is amazing. Holding you and your family in my heart as you navigate through this. We just had to place my sister in law because of Alzheimer’s; it is such a horrible disease. Sending much light and love.

Angela D’Antonio

I am so happy I was able to visit your dad’s studio yesterday and leave with some beautiful and inspiring artwork! Dementia is such a difficult diagnosis for all involved and I’m glad I could show support for you and your family in this way. It was lovely to meet you as well

Mary Bauer

Thank you for sharing this broke my heart . The painting are wonderful and your taking this task on is so good of you and your siblings,

Laura Roper

Ellen, I wish I could have come (but broken ankle). Like many on here I've had to deal with hard and prolonged end-of-life journeys, including clearing out a house where my parents lived for over 50 years. I hope the sale went well and it provides some comfort to spend time with the work your father did over his artistic lifetime. My mother was a biographer and I re-read her most accomplished one from time to time to spend more time with her. It's so hard and all you can do is grit your teeth and get through it. There are also moments of grace (some unexpected kindness, meaningful closeness with one siblings, moments of connection with your increasingly missing parent) and I hope you have many of those.

Laura Starr

So many beautiful paintings ❤️

Cynthia L

Wow! Now I see where you get your talent! I’m sorry to hear about your father! My father had Dementia before he passed, my Mom has had Alzheimer’s for 10 years, and now my Uncle has it! It is a horrible “long goodbye.” Sending hugs and prayers to you and your family! BTW, I have moved from Malaga, Spain, to Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. I’d love to see you again, this time in Tuscany!🍷😘
