I love this. It reminds me of Greece!

Glenda Powers

This was one of the best. This challenged me to really explore values. Unlike you, I had to do several pass overs to get the intensities correct. Great lesson! Thank you.

Ellen Crimi-Trent

thats fine many other well know painters take several layers to get this as well they do an underpainting first!

Ida Bochner

This is an amazing tutorial. Learned so much about how to create shadow’s which I find so difficult . Love the painting! Thank you Ellen.

I just finished painting this tutorial. It took a few days but I think it came out great thanks to Ellen’s detailed instructions. Thank you so much Ellen. 😊

Wow! That was challenging. More please. First the sketch (I do this as opposed to tracing to learn to sketch better). Then the first layer. I waited so long to finally add the shading. That was intimidating so it sat. Finally finished and realized it wasn't so hard after all. Learned so much AND worked it without go back to the video. Thnx Ellen

Thank you for the wonderful lesson Ellen! I enjoyed doing this over 2 days. Would like to have more of these intermediate lessons. Now I will go back to try out other more difficult lessons you offered a while back before I was ready
