Hi guys! And welcome to a new exciting month at Artisan Guild!
This month for the first time, everyone will get his hands over the Pre-Supported models once the release is out in 1/2 days. Of course the regular STL will be also available as always! If you have pledged during April (based on Patreon timezone) but you hadn't the time to download the Set, please send us a private message here on Patreon, we will sort it out!
It's now time to vote for the release coming in June. As for this month, the Oni Clan will be available reeeeally soon, along with two super cool extra heroes!

We are really excited to announce that we are currently testing The Ashen Throne, our role playing game. We are working on it since 2008! We are not launching an open beta at the moment, we need additional testing before translating into english.
It features a completely new system and it's based on our universe of course.
The fourth option in this Poll will be really useful once the game it's out, check it's quick description below :)

Themes Descriptions

And here a simple description on each theme models. Please remember that these factions/races are not based on existing settings, we are building up our universe that will be used for a Role-Playing Game (cuttently in alpha testing).
As we develop the theme concept we possibly make some little changes.

  • Worshipers of the ancient Shapeshifter God Melmor, the Kobolds are ignoble lizard-dog horned demons who move around hopping on two legs. These short wicked monsters infest mines by stealing precious minerals and replacing it with toxic ones in order to spread the plague of their god. Kobolds love to make fun of larger creatures by making horrible mockeries, like replacing children in their beds with Kobold puppies; to enter unnoticed human towns, they use their innate ability to shift into dogs. Additionally to mines, cities with sewage systems are teeming with these evil beings. Kobolds are very keen: few of them can boast great Arcane powers and many of them become expert thieves. No adventurer, initiate or veteran, should ever underestimate a Kobold.
  • Bear-Tribe Great Goblins
We like the idea goblin of any size and variety. Great Goblins from the Bear-tribe are the biggest mountain goblinoids in our universe, towering creatures with a fair amount of fur. They live in the mountains, and survive raiding human settlements, otherwise working as mercenaries for Orcs or evil barons from time to time. Great Goblins are less smart than tinkerer goblins from the Sparksoot Tribe, but are disciplined enough to have a strict military society and assemble little armies. Most of their equipment and armors will be scavanged from human resources, such horse metal armor here and there, peasant cloths and so on. Door as shield could be an idea!
  • Eye-Cult Gryphkin
Gryphkins are the people of the wind and the sky. These six-limbed creatures are covered in feathers and capable of great cunning and agility. The Cult of the Eye, however, is the most esoteric group of Gryphkins. They seek a powerful artifact called Eye of Tialevor, and their perpetual quest to obtain it has corrupted their hearts and appearence.
  • Scourgeland Survivors
This Set will be really useful as we will launch our Role Playing Game (currently in alpha).
Scourgelands, Ashen Era. This place was called the Great Arverian Wood centuries ago, but things suddenly changed. (trying to be quick...) Here, the struggle between the forces of good and evil has already taken place. Tialevor, along with his Ashen Alfar, is the terrifying Tyrant-God who subjugated most of the of world and finally won the war against the free people with the release of a cataclysm. Most of the ancient forests are now desert of ashes, called the Scourgelands.  He now sits on the Ash Throne, built with the ashes and bones of the ancient Dragon-God Ghaomir, who fought the last battle on the side of the free people.
Here in the Scourgelands, the tribes of human survivors struggle for survival in these inhospitable ashen lands. There will be no battle between good and evil: only the fight to survive against hunger, the ash-storms  and the Zeek, the monstrous arthropods of chitin that reign undisputed in the wild lands. This Set will is composed by an assortment of Scourgeland Survivors humans who adapted to live as nomads in these ashen lands. Some of them will be Hunter, few will be Egg-Thieves (stealing giant Zeek eggs in the most dangerous places to feed their tribe) or Zeek smugglers (steling Zeek lifestock breed from the Ashen Alfar). One Hero will be surely the old Wise Woman, who lead the tribe, teach the children how to survive and have the skills to cast some shamanic spells. Most of their equipment will be made of Zeek chitin, one of the only resources available in their environment. The beast will be probably a specific Zeek that work as mount.

Oh, and by the way, being the Scourgeland an harsh desert with shells of ancient gigantic Zeek here and there, some of them had been converted into taverns. Like you enter the dead shell of a gigantic arthropod, inside it there are  downstair leading to a huge inn, with places to drink, sleep, mercenaries of any sort and so on. Perfect place to start an adventure in the Ashen Throne role playing game. The Zeek Shell Tavern (at least exterior!) will be the Terrain piece if this faction win.

One of the Scourgeland taverns.

About the topic "what's in the Poll", there are no rules on what gets out and what get reworked. We are simply sketching what we are inspired to sculpt.  How many Sculpts will be part of the winning theme? As always, once we choose a theme thanks to this Poll we will spend the month to further develop/improve the core concepts and create the following sculpts, both in regular STL and presupported version:

  • 6 Modular Miniatures with Swappable Weapons, for various combinations!
  • Standalone Weapons for Loot, customization and our Weapon Racks!
  • 2 "Over-the-Top" Hero Miniatures.
  • 1 Mounted version of a Hero.
  • The Riderless Mount as standalone Beast.
  • 1 "Beauty of the Month", suitable as Miniature or display collectable.
  • A Scatter Terrain themed on the release.
  • A Sculpted special Base for each Miniature.

Wait, we have 2 Massive Discount Codes for a limited time!

I kinda want you guys to go wild on your thing. Glad to see so many others agree. :)

MadMike

This poll is a tiny bit biased, don't you think? ;)

3D Guy

What's the great big spiraling wyvern thing on the right side with the Amazons? Was it in the Kick Starter?

Drew Wikstrom

I'm going to keep voting for kobolds!

Anonymous

The Scourgland survivors sound so cool!

Michael

I don't think I ever saw a poll so overwhelmingly in favor of one option

Yarik Hansraj

I'm so glad to see so much of fleshed out lore in the description of your Scourgeland universe! I for one cannot wait to see what the unbridled creativity of the two of you come up with 😁😁

CompanyCo .

Some high quality bugbears and goblin would be amazing for my low level campaigns!

Obscurities in Miniature

My vote always goes to something new and different. I can't think of too many desert dwelling nomads with bug shell armor in my collection...

Vendy

The flavour to Scourgeland Survivors made my jaw drop. Holy crap. I am beyond excited!

Dragomir

I'm rooting for "survivors". It's obvious AG want them in and have big ideas for them. With so much enthusiasm there's no mistake it will be an awesome release

James Grainger

I would be happier with bug-people over humans wearing bits of bugs xD

Ourobobross

I guess it’s settled. We’re going to the Scourgelands.

Christopher lyons

I voted for the Gryphs until I read about that ultra hilarious yet mega cool old woman hero teaching children, now THAT I have to see!! 🥰

Glitterwolf

Scourgelands reminds me a bit of Morrowind PC game. Sounds cool. But they all sound cool and I would be happy with either. I will pick one , but it's hard to choose.

Glitterwolf

They all sound cool though. hard to choose.

J-Zarno .

Clearly they are extra excited to make the scourgeland survivors, feel like if this set wins now they'll put in extra effort to make it extra awesome

Frank Quinn

I went goblin bear tribes meself can get more use out of the minis in more game systems. Hope their an option again next month if they don't win.

Glitterwolf

I do not even game, I paint for fun and display and create armies for fun. I have a lot of themed projects. I would be happy with either. Voted Kobolds for now since I like their evil sinsiter look. But I will be happy to get any of these themes. Super happy with the Jurakin and the Oni already, went to the shop to get some amazone and Reptile stuff which I love.

Krzysztof Babilon

Ok so whats this upcoming game you mention in article? any info on that? cant find it anywhere. is it gonna be rpg or tabletop skirmish? i would love to play skirmish but rpg? i dont know whatever for you use minis in rpgs? 😉 im a gm and a player for over 25 years playing Call of Cthulhu, Warhammer and few others rpgs and never have use for minis in my game 😂

Sagorath

They all look awesome, but vote for kobolds

Efesto

Scourgeland Survivor!

Anonymous

getting some neat kenshi vibes from scourgeland survivors <3

Florian Wortmann

I get some Eldar Skrolls wibes, so Scourgeland Survivors.

Torsten Senz

Fish guys, Onis, Ash guys... folks, that's not what I was looking for, regarding the previous sets. I'm somewhat discouraged.

Anonymous

Damn it. I need me some good kobolds

Drew

Kobolds or Goblins for me!

Kenneth Gatt

Scourgeland looks good for my setting

Dagoth Ur

Obviously I support the Dunmer .. err sorry Scourgeland Survivor's

Midnight Sky Games

I feel liek I can make use of the Scourge Survivors in my non- Tatooine Star Wars desert world

J-Zarno .

Bro, dem fish guys are awesome and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. :')

Nicholas Kefalas

Where is the link for the May Orcs ? Did i miss it ?

Miles Lewis

It seems like from the description (both length and detail) that you guys want to make Scourgeland. Do your thing! Everything you have made so far has been great! We believe in your vision! Let's go Scourgeland Survivors! Let's go "The Ashen Throne!"

Kyle Sawyer

Those gryph-kin look so good though :x

Richard Wall

It's so hard to choose because I know that, no matter which one is chosen, you guys will do amazing work! :D

wordflyer

Can you do a quadruple release next month?

V Verdouw-Olges

The ashen survivors will be PERFECT for my Dark Sun game!

Erik Waring

I'm definitely going Scourgeland this time but I have my eye on those Eye cult Gryphkins. Once Sky's of Sordane starts releasing files I'm going to want all the aerial assets I can get my hands on.

Brad Marsh

Aw man, bugbears is what we need!

HAF

Is the MMF code working on Ogres aswell?

Diogo Gonçalves

Hmm I want Plague Kobolds so hard... For new starting campaigns they would be so usefull for us DMs

Christoph Gruber

I really really want to see ArtisanGuild´s take on creating Kobold miniatures, but they always seem to end up on the 2nd place. Still, I am not giving up hope. Some day they will win and my printer will run all month to create a whole army of them =)

Anonymous

Atleast we know some day, by process of elimination, we'll probably get them all. But Scourgland looks unique and weird, def. not something I have im my collection...

Remnant

Only thing holding me back from joining the Kobold camp is the thought of a Kobold pinup lol. That's the stuff of nightmares.

Gary-Martin Watts

We really need something like the Gryphkin. There are currently almost no models for Aarakocra.

Sean Abel

I am just the opposite, I went for the Gryphkins and thinking about the Scourgeland.

Dynamic Prints Studio

You're passionate about the Scourgeland Survivors - so I'm going with them!

Dynamic Prints Studio

Also perfect discount for this month. I had the orcs and all the beauty's in my basket waiting for the monthly discount. To see the orcs get 50% made it a definite buy.

Bill Curran

This was a tough one, all four choices would make excellent themes.

Glitterwolf

Is the link to the ONI up? I don't see it yet.

Thomas Klein

Wow. Haven't seen a poll this definitive in a while (ever?)

Dre Kol

@glitterwolf I dont see the Oni Clan either.

Daniel Rivera

Doesn't look like it'll happen. The scourgeland survivors started with a huge vote from the get go.

Glitterwolf

I guess we'll have to wait a little longer then, I'm new to this, it's my first Patreon.

Dan

Uh, so with those goblins, you folks realize you're just describing Bugbears right?

Israel Martinez

Dang it kobolds never win. People hating on them because they are good at tpk parties using all traps and what not lol

NaH Outpost

I've been eyeballing the Eye-Cult, I hope they get their day!

ArtisanGuild

Greatgoblin, not just goblin in fact :) We also don't have any right over bugbears, we are not affiliated with DnD

Anonymous

A githzerai/githyanki set would be awesome.

Glitterwolf

Thanks!!! Looking forward to them!

jimraynor

Scourgeland survivors sounds very cool :)

w1r3d0n3

Come on now I need some kobolds lol

Rick Brasche

another vote for scourgelands survivors.

Audrius Bulotas

Scourgeland Survivors takes me back to Morrowind days... I cant wait!

Anonymous

kobolds much in need of for my campaign.

Tomás López López

we'll have news about your game in a future?? it's going to be a kickstarter or it has another type of basis??

Vu Le

Beeeeeaaaar tribe lets go!

Shannon Badgley

Man I really want to see those Gryphkin, as they aren't a common sculpt and can be useful for many D&D representations. I also think the feathers and models themselves will be fun to paint.

Symeon

why no love for the bird people????? They look so unique!

Jason Brown

Well, I'm getting Yoshigruzu so I'll go with the crowd this month, Scourge Survivors it is! Although I love those Gryphkin.

Patrick horrigan

i like the idea of the kobloids to go up against my titanforge dwarves

Chris Chapman

Sucks when you have to choose between four great options.

Brady Hargett

Honestly the pin up thing is the only part of this hobby that I don't really understand. I'd be totally fine if AG didn't do them at all.

Matt

ugh. Scourgeland Survivors? maybe I''ll like the design once I see it but I'm really disappointed its leading the poll by so much.

Mike Lea

Others have already brought this up but I feel the need to mention it again anyway :P. The Morrowind-like feel of the Scourgeland Survivors really does it for me. When I played that game for the first time it was like nothing I had ever seen. it was such a strange mix of fantasy And sci-fi, familiar yet alien. the ability to physically bring something like that to the tabletop is really compelling to me.

Mike Lea

Not to put the cart before the horse (or Silt Strider in this case), but I hope we get a Scourgeland Survivors themed option in the next epic boss poll.

Trevor

lets go bugbears

Trevor

btw..pretty blatant ripoff of morrowind.. would hate to see legal trouble over that O.0

Logician

and morrowind is a blatant rip off of all fantasy before it so dont worry about it.

Glitterwolf

As far as I know there aren't any Morrowind like miniatures out there, I welcome this. But I would also love any of the other options.

Marti3P

Its not named after anything in the game so can't do anything about it. Bethesda can't leave a room without prat falling so doubt they would bother.

Anonymous

I agree with Glitterwolf, because I've checked and rechecked many times. I've wanted some Ash dweller minis for years now. A dream!

RathofKelly

I would love to see a catfolk/tabaxi themed set at some point. Can never find a good tabaxi group of models.

ArtisanGuild

While Morrowind partially inspired this theme it will not be a morrowind set. It will be a unique setting in a completely different world. Also these will be mostly humans, not a sort of elves :) They are more inspired by "the 100" serie, the earthling faction

ArtisanGuild

Morrowind ripoff? In that case even D&D dwarves would be "the Hobbit" ripoff, not to mention all the rest of fantasy and brands. Morrowind has inspired us, but these humans (not dark elves) have more in common with the earthlings from the serie "the 100" and the Dark Sun setting, STARSHIP TROOPERS and so on. I always loved Monster Hunter like armors made from insects (vespoid anyone?), you can see that from our Depth Ones release. Also to change the common thing in my game I wanted a huge cataclysm in my setting, for the people to start from scratch. Having huge monstruosities from the depths above the groud, that is more like a surface underdark is something we were really excited to build. Morrowind island have some ash, but confronted with this is a walk in the park.

ArtisanGuild

Can't answer everyone, but in short, Morrowind was part of our inspiration. But as Conan, the hundreds serie (the earthling faction), the Dark Sun setting, STARSHIP TROOPERS and so on.

Dave Blanchard

I think the Scorgland will work great with Shadows of Brimstone....what I wouldn't do for a cowboy set...

Vladislav

the discount code doesn't work.(AGMAY50) give a working one.

Vladislav

the store has pre-supported models?

Chuck Beckmann

My poor plague-mine kobolds :( I fear they'll never see the light of day :(

Anonymous

I am beyond excited for some Scourgeland Survivors. Can't wait to see what there will be. Too Excited. Miss the poll for some reason lol.

Glitterwolf

The idea of a chitin/ insect based weapon pack alone is something to look forward to.

Anonymous

What do I have to do to get people to vote for bear tribe goblins 😭

Garry Rutherfurd

Hopefully the Kobolds come up trumps some time, I have a campaign idea I want to try out and it is always nice to trot out good miniatures. Though my players are terrified of the thought of me bringing out the Terrasque.

Anonymous

Bring the Ironskin Ogres back to the poll for July, please!

Timothy Hayes

I would really like to see something Fae / Fairy, You can do pixies, Redcaps, a Giant Fae Dragon / Butterfly Dragon.

Sean McInnes

Not that I've ever voted for them, but can we get a sliver more information regarding the Gryphkin? If they're ever successful, will they all look evil and vicious? Or could I also use some for NPC Aarakocra with them giving off a vibe of "Im gonna cut you"? What mount would you have in mind for them? And only now reading about them, I assume you've already got great ideas for them since their lore is tied in with your current Goal packages/Tialevor. Thanks for your amazing work.
