July 30 2025: Counter Reset @ 2️⃣8️⃣ Missed a couple days due to real life situation we had to deal with

June 18 2025: Counter Reset @ 3️⃣2️⃣ after weekend trip. Carson felt sick and needed to take a day off after getting back.

If we stay on track we intend not to miss a day at least until the 31st of May, which will be Episode 566 by our current counts. We also intend to start posting Orb, Fate/Zero & another show yet-to-be-announced twice a week for the next 3 weeks until the end of the month. We also intend to start yet another show sometime next month but we'll see when we get there.

(We also intend to bring back early access for shows, similar to how we do for one piece: 1 week ahead on edits, 2 weeks for uncuts)

This is a show of good faith for those of you who have stuck with us through these inconsistent times that we intend to do everything we can to keep on top of things and move forward with new content without sacrificing consistency. And hopefully, if we stick close to this goal, then by the end of the month you as a patron can be confident in our ability to stay on top of things and deliver.

With all that being said, as I mentioned in a previous post; I am having some health concerns that may or may not interfere with this goal. I'm not comfortable sharing details on what's going on right now, and I didn't plan on sharing anything, but we figured you deserved some explanation. I will elaborate more at some point in the future, but for now what matters is that despite this declaration of intent, there are some things that must come before One Piece.

Altogether, we want you to know that we don't take your support for granted, and that we are still beyond grateful to all of you and we don't want to squander this community.

I will update the counter every day when a one piece uncut is posted. The cutoff is 6am PST. If we don't post the uncut by then, the counter will be reset and an edit will be posted below with details explaining the holdup to the best degree that we feel comfortable.

EDIT June 7 2025: Streak PAUSED due to being ahead of schedule, and taking a few days to put out podcast for Fishman Island Saga

Health > all Simple as. Thank you for the transparency! (Also read the cover stories already 😋)

nofie

Ahhh love the streak idea, but also don’t worry too much about it, watching something and being in the right headspace for it is better than a rushed reaction🫡 Fate/zero is a franchise I’ve always been too scared to get into, this might be the only show that I’ll watch a reaction to without having watched it first!! Also I’m letting the op and apothecary diaries uncuts marinate because of finals, so I don’t know if this particularly applies to me cuz I’m just chilling lol

Kossain

We good fam. Stay healthy and get back when you're good 👍

Porco

♥️

ViviMay

Health always come first 🤍 I hope and pray that all goes well for the both of you 🙏

yanyax

That’s quite bold, but we keep on casting (This sucks xd)

Aidos Smagulov

I wish all your health issues are resolved in the best way possible Fate will be incredibly cool addition, I hope you also intent to react in future to UBW and Heaven’s feel

Potetskall

So just to be sure , we wont be getting the earlier «missed» episodes?

Sceeze 1

Very appreciated that you're so active in letting know how the schedule is going to work, but please don't feel the need to share information you feel uncomfortable sharing. There's no need for that I believe

incinə

The redacted health concern is kind of scaring me… I really hope you’re okay 😵‍💫 I really appreciate the gesture, but as you said things do come before One Piece, and sicknesses and medical conditions are definitely a justified reason to miss days because you guys aren’t at 100%. Nevertheless, this streak things sounds fun and I’m excited to see how long it goes! Best of luck to you both o7

Albanese

I'm telling you, don't lose your head over schedule. If some days there's no One piece we surely won't die. I mean, don't stress yourselves too much for it

BOLDcast

well no sadly. Since we werent posting on youtube, it would just mess up the schedule even more than it already is. Technically i think you guys are a few days ahead of where patreon is "supposed to be" but with how poor we've been lately with posting, I figure its in everyone's best interest if we just stay the course at least until the end of the month before correcting that discrepancy. once the month turns over we can do more side content once a week and it will naturally go back, but like I said we've been off our game and you guys have already been sufferings for eps to come out on time, so this is the best we can do for now

BOLDcast

we do intend to do them as well of course! I remember not liking UBW as much as Zero, and I didnt like the new characters voices as much in the dub, so idk we'll se how that goes. I know Heaven's feel will be very interesting and im excited to revisit UBW (I think i made it like halfway through UBW before dropping way back in the day but its been like 10 years or something)

BOLDcast

at this point, its not just a few missing days like we used to do a few years ago here and there. its been a really terrible pattern. The kind of poor pattern that we could look back in a few years and say "if only we just buckled down when we had the chance, we'd still be doing our dream job if we just focussed" We don't want to have regrets in the future, and we just need to remember that its always worth it to try. For ourselves, and for you guys who support us. I know its not good to stress about letting people down every once-in-awhile, but there comes a point where its just too much and we need to smarten up (serious irl things aside obviously)

Oussama Essamadi

I truly wish you good health and serenity guys. Don't fret over it. - Quintessential Quintuplets gang

100Rainy

I can only speak for myself but a few missed days of one piece ain't a big deal. I will admit $10 a month is a bit heftier than all the other accounts I'm subbed to, but you guys make quality videos and you always try to stay consistent. That effort is highly appreciated. Pretty much as long as you never have us pay for a virtually empty month, I'm fine with a more sporadic schedule than the usual daily one.

ChocoBoshi

I'm glad to hear that you're trying to stay with it in spite all the troubles that you've been going through. I'll echo the sentiment of not wanting you to stress too much about taking the time you need to get to a place where you can be more consistent but I can totally resonate with not wanting to have any regrets and wanting to power through. I honestly feel pretty bad about not being as involved as I was before I started attending a university but I'm in the same boat where I don't want to have any regrets about opportunities wasted. It sounds kind of weird to me to even say that I feel bad about being less active because I don't think I actually provide that much with my comments aside from back when we were getting people to understand where you guys stand on spoilers. But, since you guys recognized me as someone who you would want as a mod I don't want to let that go to waste, if that makes any sense. I know you get requests all the time about it but I'm actually really excited to see you guys continue Orb and I may actually watch Fate/Zero for the first time with you guys! I truly hope everything that's going on behind the scenes, be it health related or just life in general, goes smoothly, not just so you can get back to posting more but also because I want the best for you guys. You guys have given me a place to reflect on my favorite anime of all time with people who enjoy it just as much as I do and who have insights that I would never have been exposed to anywhere else. Even if I argue with people in the discord sometimes or get frustrated reading comments that border on spoilers and have to weight the pros and cons of responding or letting it be, I havent felt like I belonged in an online community the way I feel I fit into yours and I have nothing but gratitude for that.

Vlee

You guys are the best react commentary people I've ever seen on YT. Please keep up the good work as much as you can, do what you want to keep yourself occupied. Above all, be safe, be healthy. <3

Elay

I feel like your reactions and discussions these past months were really great and I did not feel disappointed or let down in the slightest. It has always been the quality of your content over the quantity for me. On top of that, the more frequent streams on youtube were a lot of fun. With that said, as long as you enjoy what you are doing, I know it will be fine. So please don't overdo it and take care of your health. And lastly, while you are doing all the things you set out to do, please don't forget about the OP side content. I don't mind if you take your time and I also don't care if you don't watch every filler or movie. Just please don't let it end up like the naruto side content. Thank you!

Jambron

Appreciate the heads up, and it's great that you're letting your community know it's happening so we can be more understanding, but if it comes down to health frankly it is the single thing you should be concerned with, especially if it causes you any form of concern. Hope whatever is going on will be trivial or a thing of the past as soon as is possible. Good luck with any appointments/procedures or whatever happens relating to that.

Artemis

thank you boldcast, appreciate you both for trying to stay consistent with your content, but please take care of your self as well.

Oussama Essamadi

Would love to see you guys reaction to Black Mirror or Alice in Borderland.

BOLDcast

We already seen all the good seasons of black mirror unfortunately But maybe Alice in borderland 🤔

boredbeck

Loving the consistency ❤ we really appreciate it, thanks you two 🙏🙏🙏

Maseter

I cant get the discord server to work for some reason. Ive tried linking it multiple times

boredbeck

loving this system! 🔥

charlie

i hate being teased by apothecary on youtube

Nakos

No One Piece today... counter back to zero.. :(

idziman

Clearly the reason for the delay is that they're going hard on cover story reading and that they'll drop the reaction in full when they return!!

Budaika

Been loving the OP content. I wish there was a little more transparency with upload delays or even better have a schedule posted weekly that shows which episodes will drop and which will get delayed. Looking forward to your return.

logan charman

I second this, but they probably dont expect the delays until the delay is happening, and I feel like afterward they're pretty transparent with the reason for the delay (as seen on this post with updates of reasons for delays and time stamping the delays). A schedule would be cool tho, but I also see the reasons for not wanting a schedule, it kind of shoeholes them into stuff they might not want to do

Budaika

I'm not an expert at content creation or anything that has to do with production by any means. But I was under the impression that reaction channels would record in advance by some number of episodes so that they can adapt when something comes up. I noticed that in the "Blind Wave" channel, I can see which day what episode was recorded by the shirts they are wearing and then they would space out when they release them. They are known to pump out a shit ton of reactions, sometimes 8 a day or even more, and I don't remember the last time they had a delay or went out of schedule. Obviously the squad here don't have the same resources/people that Blind Wave has so it's unfair to compare, but maybe some ideas from there c an go a long way.

BOLDcast

we really want to be better, and we have been on a good streak until recently, you guys are not wrong for wanting more transparency. But sometimes life just becomes hard to deal with and you have to prioritize other things for a little bit Just know, that no matter what is going on, we are always doing our best. We are not slacking. We are not being lazy. No matter what, we are always trying our best to give you guys the best stuff possibly can. So if you're ever wondering why something isn't posted on time. You can be confident that it is a genuine mistake, and we are probably dealing with some real nonsense, not just taking your support for granted. We try to communicate the best we can, but if we cant offer any guarantees, then in those times its best not to make false promises, and to just try and lock in instead.

BOLDcast

on the schedule thing, we want to get back to posting a weekly schedule for both channels. For the first few years we did it every single week and it kept us mostly on time for literal years straight. But again, sometimes life gets in the way. The way things are looking now, without getting too much into it, we are talking about going back to posting a schedule starting sometime in September most likely.

Budaika

Thanks for the response. I hope whatever is going on works out. I appreciate letting us know about future/plans and potential schedule it helps me set my expectations for the next few of weeks until September. Looking forward to it.

logan charman

much love, don't worry I don't think anyones assuming it's just out of laziness, sometimes shit just happens

Briana Roop

Some of you guys in the comments are so unnecessarily mean.

Sceeze 1

Thank you for saying this!

Ty

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to get my thoughts out, and I feel like a lot of others share my viewpoint. I hope you understand this comes from a place of care and genuine concern for not only you two but also the channel. At what point is it just a smart idea to hire another editor? It feels like there is a cycle where you will lock in, be on point, and then one thing gets missed or delayed, or someone gets sick, or you want to take a break, and it all goes spiraling. The cycle has happened over and over again, and we can all see the additional stress caused by missing uploads, so why not hand over some of the responsibility to an editor? I understand that this does not solve everything, but would it not be nice to have someone who can work on your backlog so you do not feel so deep in a hole? Maybe just edit the weekly shows that will be important and hand off the smaller shows to someone else. This would also make it so you could create a schedule for people to see, and it could actually get stuck to. Even if it was just to get out of this current hole I think help is needed. Would not a huge burden be lifted if you did not have to worry about falling behind if you got sick or wanted to take a week off? Life will happen, burnout will happen, but the lack of communication only makes viewers more frustrated. A comment I see often on YouTube is "why was x show dropped" and there never is a clear place for them to get the answer. If you watch everything Boldcast uploads, or read every comment section, you may end up finding the answer in a stream or a random video, but why not make a post on what shows are on hiatus or dropped so people have answers? In my opinion, it sucks when a video gets uploaded to YouTube without the uncut on Patreon, or like with episode 647 of One Piece, just never getting uploaded. The thing is, oftentimes people will comment or even @ you, but no communication is given back. As someone who is a ride or die Boldcast fan, it is frustrating seeing so many comments being angry or frustrated with the channel, but I completely understand them. It is not fun watching you guys when you seem so stressed out. My dream for you guys would be to have fun with reactions and not have to stress out so much. It feels like you guys are so stressed that you cannot even watch things that are enjoyable to you. It has almost been a year, and there is still no Haikyuu movie reaction, Orb has been delayed so much, and I feel like these are things that would be very enjoyable to watch, but the stress of being so far behind makes it so you arent in the mood. I do not think the solution can simply be to lock in. From an outsider's perspective, the stress seems really high, and I worry that with a new season of anime around the corner, you will be too far behind to catch up. JJK is such a massive boon for your channel, but if the channel is in complete disarray by the time that comes out, it will be a massive wasted opportunity. By the time JoJo Part 7 comes out, I feel like you will have been too far behind on other things to catch up to it. I imagine when Bobmikejoe took over One Piece, it was a massive weight off your shoulders, and I feel the same weight could come off if you could find someone to also help with the main channel. Like I said, I am ride or die, so I am not going anywhere, it just sucks when the vibe of the comments on both Patreon, Discord, and YouTube are so negative. I hope this month is filled with less stress for the both of you. Edit: Recently I fell behind on some work and it just gradually built up to the point where it became a problem. I was ready to get it all done and then I became sick for a few days so it got pushed even further back. I decided I could not do it on my own so I had a buddy of mine come over and help me. The cost financially was way less than the stress that was relieved by starting at square one again. Idk anything about the youtube editing world so it may be a dumb suggestion but these are just my thoughts.

ideo

is it THAT SERIOUS LMAO ?

Ty

I mean there have been worse months for sure but last month they uploaded 5 videos to the main channel and the One Piece channel has not had an upload in 2 weeks. Almost every comment section from youtube to discord to patreon is all complaining about it. Fates been over a month orb has been 2 months on youtube. Even dandadan and trailers have been late which is something that used to rarely happen. I am just concerned as a long time viewer is all.

Cheddah Slammer

For me its more like I sign in, don't see a new vid so I sign out so I don't see it as that bad, especially when you have channels that will be gone for months.

x

might read this but not rn

Legend Killa

i aint reading allat but im happy for you tho or sorry that happened

EJ

Thanks for the ep drops folks! If it helps, don't get too hung up on the consistency streak and stick to a schedule that works best for you atm - the One Piece burnout is certainly real and it hits hard. Focus on y'all selves first and foremost !!!

klairvoyage

I mean we just got 7(+2) eps in 5 days this month... it’s not even like they were slacking on the OP Uncuts if they released in batches (like they used to) rather than folks expecting 1ep/day, then all this kerfuffle wouldn’t even happen, whenever there’s a short 48h silence or so (over sumn minor like just a numbering hiccup)

JoP

holy tweak, get a grip bro its a reaction lmfaooooo

Nakos

Pls remove this post. You have no consistency whatsoever.

Hening Honing

Consistency isn’t just about uploading every single day it’s about the quality and effort they put into each reaction. They’re paying attention to details and giving us thoughtful content. That takes time, and it’s unrealistic to expect nonstop uploads.

Nakos

I am not expecting that. It is just misleading and creating false expectations. As you can see i am enjoying their content enough to pay for it. I'm for honest communication, thats all. I mean that positively. I know they are trying their best. I'm just saying this post should be removed bc it is not helpful

Xemnas27

No Orb. No Sakamoto Days. No To Be Hero X. No Fate/Zero. Just One Piece and Dandadan on the channel. You guys obviously just don’t care anymore and are doing a major disservice to your community. You might as well just officially tell us you dropped these shows so we don’t have to keep waiting. Some of the most inconsiderate reactors I have ever seen

logan charman

my brother in christ relax, a little mean i'd say

pedro I.S

what do you mean "a little mean". some people act as if patreon was free
